Scam company....owner is a thief!
Stay away...far...far...away. This company is a scam. They will keep whatever you send them and go dark. My husband sent in a console, paid, they received it and we haven't heard from them since. They won't respond to any efforts to reach them as well. He's working on disputing our payment, reaching out to the police and the local news since it seems like this "business" is just a cover for a theft ring. I'm sure all of these consoles I'm seeing from other reviews are in fact being fixed and then sold by the owner of this horrid "company" to other people after he steals YOUR money and YOUR console.

Big Mistake
I have contacted this person multiple times from my personal email along with messages through his website. I have also opened a case with Paypal. My son's PS3 was mailed to this merchant on 11/06/21 via Priority Mail 2 day service and per USPS tracking information was delivered on 11/08/21 at 1:33 PM. I placed an order on the PS3 Specialist website on 11/01/21 in the amount of $224.99 for a reballing repair with expedited 1 day service along with a 1 year warranty.
I made a terrible mistake in only reading reviews from his website instead of searching for more reviews on the internet. It seems like this person charges people for services he does not fulfill and keeps the customers equipment. According to reviews I read on the internet people have opened cases with Paypal before regarding this merchant. He has multiple complaints open with the BBB.
I sent him my son's PS3 which he purchased with his own money so he could hopefully fix it. Kids don't understand there are people out there who take advantage of other people and this is what makes me very upset as I have disappointed my son because of this person.
At this point I really don't care if he returns my money but I want my son's machine back intact. What he will probably do is not respond to my Paypal case since my son's machine is worth more than what I paid to repair it and he knows Paypal will refund my money and he will end up selling it to someone locally.
Paypal should not allow this person to use your service. My husband is a USPS postal inspector and I insured my package with the USPS. I have already opened up a claim with the USPS and my husband has contacted a peer in CA so they can find this individual.
According to my husband he is committing mail fraud and mail fraud is a felony, that carries a sentence of up to five years in prison and/or fines of up to $250,000 when individuals are involved. He may have picked the wrong person to rip off this time around.
What I cannot understand is that he does have some good reviews outside of his website so I would think he probably does decent work. Not sure why he resorts to doing these type of things, but sooner or later it is going to catch up wit him.

PS3 Specialist fixed my son's PS3 and returned it without incident.

Don't let his first impression throw you off, it's the follow through to the finish that will fail.
In case you are a ripped off customer like me, here's additional information regarding this business when he tried his luck on Ebay. Couldn't do a decent job there either, so he left because of the same reasons your reading these posts.

I paid for a "Reballing Service" and was even talked into the 'Overheating repair" by this company. Paid the $135 through Paypal, plus shipping , which is not cheap. System shows delivered. I got a response back on EVERY email I sent them UNTIL they received my system. And not an email back since. I have tried both through email and through the " Contact Us" section of their website. But when I send an email from one of my other emails, I get almost an immediate response. Its incredible that this guy is getting away with this. I just want my daughters stuff back. Send back her system and her money. People like you make it hard for us to tech our children to trust people. Do the right thing here. I filed a complaint with Paypal. So I am at least hoping to get her money back. But who knows.

Most people like to be in business to excel themselves through hard work and deliver what they promise. They have a mission statement, and deliver day in, day out. Along with that, they communicate with their paying customers, the source of their revenue, who feeds them and grows them. This person, the only thing he has done is paid for a nice website host to handle his orders, that's it. The rest of his business process is run like a hack. No responses, doesn't have a working phone, doesn't keep up with his own business requirements. Go to ps3specialist.info

Well, where shall I start... from the beginning. December 2019, I needed to fix my MacBook and searched for a reballing service. I found Reballing Genius LLC/aka PS3Specialist.com with a nice YouTube video and very specific service for the MacBook Pro from 2011. So, I purchased the repair service and opted for the additional "One Day Rush MacBook repair" for a price of 219.99 along with a shipping fee for when it is sent back of 34.99, for a total cost of $254.98. I was feeling good in that I had made a wise choice. I had a nearby UPS store pack and ship the laptop as per instructions on his website, that was an additional cost to me of $49.46. Was anticipating it all done before the holidays.

Communication during the transaction seemed normal, I did not need to call, just used his commerce site portal. I sent him the tracking number, and saw that it had arrived at his address. A week later, I sent a message through his commerce portal asking for status since I had not received a tracking number as I was expecting it back within two days from the date it was delivered, after all I did purchase a one day repair service.

There was no reply. I continued to ask about status through his portal, and never got responses. So, I decided to call and just check how things were progressing. The number he lists on his website did not accept calls, it is configured that way, what kind of business does that? Ok, so I decided to continue sending messages through his portal, around eight or so, and none were answered. I then sent a message through his About Us page about a month into this transaction and there was a response! He told me he ran out of solder and had just received it, and to expect my computer to be done and sent back to me by the end of the week. Well, that was two months ago. By the way, the service I purchased, according to his own site, can be done in 60 minutes from disassembly, repair, to reassembly. As for my experience it has been 60 mins + 3 months and still waiting.

I decided I needed to find a real number to call and find out what the hold up is getting my hardware back. No working numbers, and on top of that, his Reballing Genius LLC is SOS/FTB SUSPENDED by the State of California, that will come in handy later. More research turned up his electronic repair license (which is a state regulated requirement) has been expired for more than two years now, again more information I will use for my next steps. Then, I find out he has a space at the Valley Indoor Swap Meet in Pomona where he has another listed number. I called and left two voice messages with enough detail regarding my order and need to get my computer back -- fixed or not. As expected, there was no response.

As a business owner, whatever he may call himself, this is not how success happens. Operating a business requires that you put your customers first, how else can you survive? I suppose removing your original store from Ebay and hosting on a private commerce site where you can control and allow only 5-star ratings to post, thus eliminating the need to actually be responsive to customers -- poor service or fraud.

Well, my computer is still hostage, and my emails and voice mails were very clear as to what my next steps would be, and were not answered. It is March 2020, and have started to engage state and federal agencies to look into this matter, both to recover my hardware, money, and communicate with hosting/social providers regarding this business and its practices.

+2

I'm experiencing similar issues. wish i'd done my homework. I'd be curious to join my name to any state or federal agencies too. I'm contacting Rancho Cucamonga PD to file a property theft report and providing his name, number, and shipping address. From my research it appears he may be taking some of the products received and re-selling them on sites and local markets. I was at least able to get a refund from PayPal when they couldn't even get in touch with him! I'm sure my laptop is long gone by now but maybe I can help stop this guy from scamming anyone else.

He got me too. Actually, he got my daughter. Please let me know if you have any success contacting him. I would love my daughters stuff back. She paid for her 1st gen 60 gb Playstation 3 to get the "Reball Service" and he does not answer any emails, phone is disconnected. Basically, he is getting people to pay him to accept their broken systems. He is probably fixing them and selling them. [email protected]

I don't even know where to start paid for PS3 console to be reballed paid a $120.00plus shipping and anybody who knows shipping is not cheap on these things so I send it to PS3specialist website claims to be the end all beat all for PS3 repair as soon as they received it I get a email saying the graphics chip is bad and needs to be replaced okay another $50.00 so I pay it get console back as soon as I turn it on its doing the same thing it was doing before I sent it to PS3specialist so I play the email game and let me tell you this was an issue all to its own so finally they say pay shipping again $50.00 and they will replace motherboard no charge... Okay so I do this week's and week's of playing the email game I finally get an email saying sorry for wait they were completely out of my console models motherboard so okay you think everything is right in the world again won't be long you'll be playing in no time wrong another week or so l get a email saying I need to pay shipping again to finally get my console back so I pay $45.00 more dollars so now you think it's all good should be getting your console back finally this is where it gets worse paid this so called business everything they asked no questions well 6 and a half weeks after paying shipping no console and no response to emails so PS3specialist has decided to take my money and steal my backwards compatible PS3console so going to see if he enjoys being sued and prosecuted for theft of property through the mail do not be taken advantage of like me do your research do not use PS3specialist

The transaction is no longer exists, it was canceled and the payment was refunded , as we stated before if he wants his damaged console he has to send a prepaid shipping label

I am rejecting this response because: I paid to have my Sony Playstation 4 console fixed, it was not fixed.  After months of attempting to contact the business to get the Playstation 4 back there was only contact after opening a PayPal dispute & Revdex.com dispute.  I am willing to compromise and accept a refund of my original payment less $20 for return shipping of my Sony Playstation 4 console. That will be a refund of $89.99 for a service that was never successfully completed and the Sony Playstation 4 console shipped back to me.

IN RESPONSE TO CUSTOMER COMPLAINT ID [redacted] This customer purchased a repair service for his PlayStation3 console off Ebay and sent it in. repair technician. We still tried to fix it for him since most of the consoles we receive for repair have been through similar failed repair attempts  and we still get most of them repaired due to our advanced repair process that is considered a remanufacturing process of the failed component which in this case is the graphics chip of the console. Unfortunately that console went through a failed repair attempt by a heat gun which caused the motherboard to be warped and gets physical damage to the soldering pads that makes repairing the console using the same motherboard is impossible – heating a chip by a device that is unregulated through thermal profile makes the heated area of any electronic board to rise at the center of the heated area due to the metal expansion and that cause a huge pressure at the edges of the BGA chip which results in a physical damage to the chip and the motherboard soldering pads which is exactly what happened for this customer’s motherboard -. We sent multiple emails to the customer and explained to him that the motherboard of his console is damaged beyond repair and the only way to save his console and his data is by transplanting the necessary chips from his damaged motherboard into another functioning motherboard to obtain a fully working copy of his damaged motherboard. That process as we told him cost $200 , the service he purchased was only $75 so we asked him if he agrees to pay the difference for that process. He did not accept that . we refunded him his initial payment and asked him to send us a prepaid shipping label to send his console back which he never did until now.   [redacted]CEO of Reballing Genius LLC

Final Consumer Response /* (2000, 6, 2016/05/26) */
Merchant refunded payment and returned my property. This case may be closed.

I am rejecting this response because:
As I stated the previous repair had nothing to do with the machines failure. The machine 2 years ago  had a failure to the cold solder joint beneath the main processor. The machine was repaired, and functioned correctly for over s year after the repair. The warranty on that repair was for 6 months. If there was any damage to the motherboard it is most likely REBALLING Genius damaged the machine ha silly trying to remove a chip that shouldn't have even been removed if it was "dead" as they claimed. The machine could not have functioned for s year witg s warped motherboard, and my PSNetwork has my activity well documented do it would not be difficult to show the functionality of my machine .  I purchased a reball service from Reballing Genius  because they represented themselves as an authorized PS3 console repair center. They are not. They do not as far as I can tell hold ANY certifications so the businesses claim is of being a "SCIENTIST" is at best an empty boast.Nothing that they have said changes these facts :1) REBALLING GENIUS SOLD ME A SERVICE WITH A 48 HOUR TURNAROUND ANF DID NOT WORK ON M MACHINE FIR OCER TWO WEEKS. THUS IS A VIOLTION OF THE ORIGINAL CONTRACT.   2) SHIPPING FOR THIS ITEM WAS PAID FOR IN THE ORGINIAL PURCHASE MEANING SHIPPING LABEL WAS ALREADY PREPAID AND PREOARED THROUGH EBAY. AN ADDITIONAL $25 WAS SENT CIA PAYPAL SND REFUEED BY REBALLING GENIUS. AT TGAT POINT REBAKKING GENIUS IS HOLDING MY PROPERTY ILLEGALLY AND THAT  IS THEFT.  3)REGARDLESS OF WHAT DISDAIN REBALLING GENIUS HAS SHOWN FOR MY PROPERTY THROUGH THIS RESPONSE IT US STILL MY PROPERTY, THEY  DO NOT HAVE A RIGHT TO HOLD IT AND THE RESPONSIBILITY TO RETURN IT FALLS ON REBALLING GENIUS ONCE TGEY REFUSE MY PAYMENT FOR SHIPPING.    4) REBALLING GENIUS  HAS REFUSED ALL CONTACT REGARDING THIS MATTER SO THERE IS NO WAY FOR ME TO SEND THEM ANYTHUNG ALL. They may not see the value in property, but that will not stop me from filing charges of theft on the criminal level and fraud on the civil level. So if it's not worth the time to respond, which we see REBALLING genius admitting by heir own words they feel, then why would they want to spend a bunch of time and money defending thus in court? Because that's where this is headed, to a legal claim which REBALLING genius will be forced to defend.  Seems like allot of trouble for a co sole worth only $20, though we know this too is a lie because a backwards compatable PS3 optical drive sells for more than this. I said I would file complaints and I was good to my word. Just as I have followed through with this, I will follow through with both civil and criminal complaints which will force REBALLING Genius to answe to in a legal venue if my co dole is not returned. I will also be filing complaints of theft and fraud with eBay and PayPal and updating my complaint to the FTC.

Its very unfortunate to receive a complaint from a customer that had ten previous repair orders with us before all of them have been successfully repaired and been working since.  The customer sent us a broken PlayStation 4 for Reballing the APU chip , consoles in such conditions are totally...

dysfunctions and worth nothing, they sell on EBay for $50 , its worth $299 as he mentioned when they are brand new and fully functional not when they are broken and can not even turn on.  The customer paid $89.99 for the repair and $20 for the return shipping cost which is a shipping cost of the item regardless of the repair result. After we have done the reballing we found that this procedure id not fix the issue with the console and we sent it back _ using the $20 he paid for the shipping _ He received the broken console back and we explained to him that the problem is most probably caused by one of the Graphics memory chips which as we stated in our service page we don't fix because of the number of these memory chips , there are 16 of them . so its very costly and very time consuming to reball 16 more chips, that makes the total of reballed chips to fix one console 17 , we can reball 17 chips to fix 17 consoles rather than reballing all these 17 chips to just fix one console and that is why we don't fix the console when the problem is related to the graphics memory chips. Yet the customer send back the console again and asked us to reball the Graphics memory chips. because he has long history with us before as I explained ten previous orders so we agreed to reball these chips for him but obviously that would be done at his own risk since he requested it. We got all the 16 memory chips done but that still did not fix the console. As explaind at this point we have already shipped his console once before so there is no more money to ship it back one more time and to make things worse he asked us to refund even the $89.99 he paid for the repair of one chip not now 17 chips and to make more of the non sense he wanted us not just to send the console back but to also refund the shipping cost that he paid and we have already used when we sent the console back the first time, now he is even claiming that his dysfunctional console that we spent hours trying to fix for him , too much effort and too much materials and power worth $299 not even the actual value of a similar broken one that doesn't exceed $50. of course all of that was denied by us and we told him he can not get a refund for all the work he requested to be done and we can not ship the console back a second time unless he send us a prepaid shipping label and I don't think we are unfair for him to ask for that. At the moment he filed a complaint with Revdex.com and a dispute with PayPal to get the money back so we told him that we have to wait for the PayPal dispute to be decided. We don't think we can fix consoles for him again after his non sense requests.Regards,[redacted]Founder and CEO of Reballing Genius LLC
