To Whom It May Concern: Mr*** contacted Avalon Financial Corpon April 4, and requested to cancel his accountHis request was processed at the time of his call and he was advised that a refund would be deposited back into his bank account on April 8, Phone calls may be recorded
for quality control purposesUpon review of the recording, we did find that Mr*** was advised that a close out fee of $would be deducted from his refundHe did not request for the close out fee to be waived at that timeThe purpose of our “Close Out” fee is to help transition our clients from having Avalon service their payments to using another servicer or payment formatBy paying the close out fee, our clients have access to our services in the future, regardless of their account being in an inactive status, for assistance with any issues that may arise with their lender in the future (i.eThe lender could misapply a payment and the customer could need assistance in having corrections made)Additional services offered by Avalon Financial, include a free annual audit and monthly statement monitoring to make sure that lenders are processing payments correctly and assistance with confliction resolution with the lenderWhen a homeowner contacts us for assistance with a lender issue, we will contact their lender for a resolution once granted third party authorization on the accountActive clients and inactive clients who have paid our close out fee will have first priority for this added service, but we will still provide assistance to customers who has not paid the close out feeWe have reviewed a signed copy of Mr***’s enrollment agreement where he did agree to the terms and conditions of our programThe terms and conditions of our program can also be found on our website at www.avalonbiweekly.comPer Mr***’s request, the $close out fee has been waived and his refund has been adjusted for that amountWe hope that this will satisfy Mr***’s request and wish that we had been given the opportunity to resolve this issue with him directlyPlease feel free to call or e-mail with any questionsSincerely, Chris F* Operations Manager
