PsyCare Associates Inc a Professional Medical Corp

My experience with Psycare has been a horrific one. From the office workers to the psychiatrist, and now the billing department. I'm complaining because I stopped going to this office because of its shady fees. When I initially made my first appointment I had to cancel it the day of. No one over the phone explained there was a $50 cancellation fee. When I got there they explained the fee but said I was able to use it towards my copay which was $25. Mind you, I should have never been charged the first $50 since I was unaware of the fee before I signed any of the papers. A few appointments later I had to cancel the day of due to my car breaking down. So when I came to the next appointment I was expecting to pay $50 which would equal to two sessions. I was wrong. When I explained that this is what they did the last time she said there's no such thing. I was upset at this point because she wanted to charge me $75. Even when I told her I would not pay that, she went AHEAD and charge my card the full amount. When I got the paper to sign I noticed and told her to refund it immediately. I was very upset because she was deliberately trying to trick me. Not only was this shady, but I was shocked by the disrespect I was given not only as a patient but as a human being. Ultimately I was fed up with this office. The day before my last appointment I realized how this was no longer worth going to, so I called on their 24 hour cancellation voicemailed and canceled. A few days later I received a bill for $120. Two $50 cancellation fees, and two $10 processing fees. I called and tried to calmy come to a conclusion, but even the billing department was incredibly rude and inconsiderate to me. I told her I would pay only on $50 fee for the time my car broke down, but I was not going to pay the $50 cancellation fee because I called to cancel on their cancellation answering machine. I've tried to reason but I've had no success. I don't understand how a company like this can treat people in this manner.
