Psychic Barbara Mackey

Barbara showed up over an hour late this evening and walked in with boatload of excuses (bs) from getting locked out to her cat being sick.

She began with guided meditation which was rudely interrupted by a cell phone ringtone or show/podcast about “murdering a mother”. She looked around as if it weren’t coming from her phone which she was holding. To her then saying to please shut off all phones and she always comes late to her workshops to allow people to “settle in” and not interrupt the most important part of workshop and open our “psyches”. 🙄. To which was followed up where contributed guided meditation about being on a beach (yawn... really?) and a loud ringtone that sounded like a news report went off.

At this point, many people got up and left bc they were fed up. Barbara acted like she had no idea whose phone it was coming from. Once again, it was her own flipping phone.

For $50, it was a complete circus and she is just a total scam artist. Maybe back in the day she was relevant but she showed her lack of respect and lack of loyalty she has for others. The advertisement for her workshop was NOT AT ALL what was presented.

This woman is a mess! Completely disappointed and unimpressed. Shame on her for stealing money. Oh and she ended early too. Sorry, but picking out a random tarot card is not a personal reading whatsoever. I want my $ back. Don’t waste your time bc not only will you waste your precious time, Barbara Mackey will also.

Review: In August of this year, I purchased a 30 minute psychic reading with Barbara Mackey for the price of $200. Her assistant and I agreed and confirmed that my reading would take place on November 11, 2013 at 8:30p.m. I made arrangements to take off work so I could be available for her call. I waited until approximately 8:35 and then called the number on Barbara's website because I had not heard from her. Around 8:40-8:45 she called back and stated that she had some dental work done and couldn't do the reading that night. I was not notified ahead of time, and lost out on money that I could have made from working. Barbara asked if we could reschedule, and I said yes. She said that she would email me today with a new appointment. We rescheduled for Monday, November 25 at 6 p.m. I called Barbara at 6, she did not answer. She called back approximately 5 minutes later asking if she could call me at 8 for the reading because she had her radio show to do at the time I was scheduled for. I told her I was expected at work and had pushed my schedule back to accommodate her appointment. She said she would call me back in a few minutes. She did not call until after 6:30, which would have made me late to work if I had the reading. She has cancelled without notice twice, and I have lost hourly wages due to the fact that I have taken off to accommodate my appointment time, that has resulted both times in cancellation on her behalf after the appointment time has already technically begun. Her actions are unprofessional and inconsiderate. I am no longer able to take off any more hours off of work to accommodate her appointments. I am a full time student and work 50+ hours a week, so my time is precious. I have been taken advantage of twice by Barbara. I have all emails and phone records available if needed. She has been unable to provide services on two separate occasions and has no regard for my schedule.Desired Settlement: Full Refund of $200 via Paypal
