July 30, Dear [redacted] : Thank you for bringing this complaint to our attentionWe have investigated the complaint and here are our findings.Customer states she bought DVD from PBS and was charged $151.32, then on the same day they charged me $for nothingBecause they charged me twice my bank charged me insufficient fees of $on the first day then $on the second dayCustomer wants these fees reimbursed because it was not her fault that she was double charged- An agent left a message for [redacted] with their availability, contact information and offered to explain the authorization hold processThey also emailed the same, and received no response.ShopPBS.org does not charge for any order until it shipsThe first amount that [redacted] saw is an authorization hold/pending chargeThis is placed on her account by her financial institution at the time the order is placed to verify the availability of fundsThe second charge is for the product when it shipped.We have tried to correct this to the best of our ability.Thank you, Jon L

I am rejecting this response because: The bank does not put holds on the customers account without the business telling the bank to do it. Their were holds on my account for that item the same day. The bank puts the holds on the account because pbs told them to. When I called up PBS they told me the hold stays on for dqysI had to fight with them to take the hold off the next dayThe amount of the hold were not the same they were a dollar differenceI wonder why that wasWhen I asked PBS the4y couldnt give me an answer

they charged me twice my bank charged me insufficient fees of $140.00 on the first day then $105.00 on the second day. Customer wants these fees reimbursed because it was not her fault that she was double charged. - An agent left a message for [redacted] with their availability, contact information and offered to explain the authorization hold process. Review: In spite of three written requests, PBS Distribution refuses to delete my name and address from its mailing lists. Also, PBS re-entered and re-used my e-mail address to send spam after I initially requested it be deleted about 6-12 months prior. I requested deletion again several weeks ago and so far have not received further e-mails. But I do not want to receive any further mail from this vendor, either the distribution office in [redacted] or the main office in Virginia, I believe.Desired Settlement: DesiredSettlementID: Not applicable

Delete me from any regular mail or e-mail lists used for marketing or any other purpose.
