Review: On January [redacted] 2014, I renewed my property insurance policy in the amount of $2,979.75. On March [redacted] 2014, Public Service Mutual insurance Company was notified by the broker , NEC Agency that the building was sold. The building was located at [redacted] Subsequent to the notification of sale, the insurance company requested proof that the building was sold. They were provided with a document prepared by my attorney detailing the sale.

I was told that the refund of the difference would take approximately 60 days.

Each time the Agency calls to inquire about the status of my refund, the insurance has given a litany of excuse. They have not refunded any money.

As per the complaint, Public Service Insurance Company did issue an insurance policy effective January **, 2014. On April *, 2014 we received a request to cancel the policy effective March *, 2014. The cancellation was processed on April **, 2014 generating a return premium of $2,677.12. We have confirmed with the complainant’s broker that the return payment was mailed on May **, 2014 and was cashed by the complainant on May [redacted] 2014.

Trust the matter was satisfactorily concluded.
