This message is in regard to complaint lD [redacted], Submitted by [redacted]. Ever since [redacted] purchased a vehicle from our dealership on 02/0-M2015, she was always behind on her payments. She had not made a single payment on time. Even though we have a 3 day grace period, where a customer could...

make a payment without a penalty, the few payments that [redacted] made on her car were always beyond the grace period and she was always made aware that she could be facing repossession.Before we sent the vehicle for repossession on March 27, 2015 we made multiple attempts to contact [redacted] to collect but she ignored every phone call and voicemail. The attached “Customer's General Activity File" shows the documented attempts to collect payment from [redacted] and calls were never returned. We were finally forced to send the vehicle to Repossession.The second attached document titled “Insurance Coverage Notification“ shows that [redacted] canceled her insurance policy effective 03/23/2015, which is also a violation of our Retail Installment Contract.Our Retail installment Contract states that if a vehicle is repossessed, the customer has the right to get it back. To do so, the must pay the entire remaining balance owed on the contract, plus any late charges and costs of repossession. However, with an effort to try and help her out, we did offer [redacted] an alternative and less expensive option and that was to pay the current balance, plus late fees and repossession fee, plus two month in advance and a new proof of insurance. [redacted] did not choose to take this option unfortunately and instead chose to clear her personal belongings out of the repossessed vehicle.We, at Platinum Auto Trade are in business of selling cars, not repossession. We do our best to avoid repossessions as they result in costly fees and dissatisfied customers, but sometimes it seems to be the only option left. At this point, we feel like we have exhausted all available options to save this account from termination. We have attached pages 2 and 3 from the Retail Installment Contract, that will show details about our Insurance Policy, Default, Repossession and Return Of The Vehicle policy.Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.Sincerely,[redacted]President Thanks!
