I was hired by *** *** on August to hauled away garbage for his garage, shed and a few furniture from his house located at *** * *** ** *** *** ***.Before to give him an estimate he expressed that he was in military retired and did not have enough to pay for the service, so I
replied that first wanted to see the work and then l will do my best to give him affordable price, because I have family in the militaryAfter looking at the job I asked him if wanted to do trade with some of their belongings, he responded yesHe told me that I can take the bikes, lawn mower, a blower, clothes and etcI told him that this service will cost $dollars but I could receive it as part of payment but he will need to help me to move some if the heavy furniture, he was agree and I set a contract for $dollars.We started the workFridayafternoon and then we come backSaturdaymorning to keep moving his belongingsAfter loaded one trailer full of garbage from the garage, we realized that all the things in the garage and the shed were in very poor condition and will not cover the verbal trade I made with ***SoSaturdayaround1pmI decided to talk with *** and explained him what I found and I asked him if I could have the snow removal as part of payment but he told me already it had sold already and if I had made a bad calculation in the service was not his problem but mineHe was very upset for my request even though he knew the conditions of his belongingsWhen I told him that all his belongings will not cover part of the verbal trade he told me that I had made a contract with him and if I not fulfilled with work he would carry me to court and also, he only would pay what is in the contract and nothing more.To avoid any problems with Mister ***, I decided to the jobI worked allSaturdayuntil5.30pmmoving his belongings to the dumpster andon SundayI could not work because the dump is closedOn Monday August 08, I come back to keep moving what was left and I completed the work at6pmAt the end of the work I asked for the pay, Mister *** told me that the work was incomplete and asked me to take more wood, brick, shingles and paint to the dumpsterEven thought he told me from the beginning that the brick, wood and etc will stay in the house for the new ownerTo avoid more complaints from him I took it.
