skills of riding a motorcycle and then offer licensing testing as part of the training. Although it is designed for the beginner some people need more time and 1 on 1 instruction when basic skills such as balance or coordination are well below the average beginner or when other factors such as fear or negative experience impact learning. Other considerations are riders that have learning disabilities, age or just want or need more time to learn these essential balance and coordination skills.
When [redacted] contacted our office she was informed of our pre BRC as an option and she did not want any course that did not offer an endorsement with it so she signed up for the BRC. She was told what the class was and the skills she would need to demonstrate to be successful.
The instructor worked with [redacted] as much as the curriculum would allow and is required to maintain the standards and schedule set by the DOL. When [redacted] was not able to demonstrate the skills needed to move forward in the class she was dismissed.
She was offered a new class at the same 50% tuition rate as her original class. The full tuition for a BRC is $250, her class was subsidized by the DOL and was only $125. She was not happy with this as a solution. It was also recommended that she reconsider taking a pre BRC course to help her be more successful with her next attempt at the BRC. She was also informed by the instructor of which skills she would need to work on to be successful in riding a motorcycle.
Because we are an agent of the DOL we are required to follow DOL policy and cannot give free classes to students that come to the BRC without the needed coordination or balance skills to ride a motorcycle. We do have non-DOL courses that have more freedom to meet her needs but [redacted] expressed no interest in anything other a class that had an endorsement test included.

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because: I was told by the instructor Greg that the class was made up of students that were more experience and if I didnt mind just transfering 11/27/15 to another day in 12/2015. I was upset and stated but its not my fault that I am not experienced. The instructor said its not fair to the other students just call back on Monday 11/30/15 and reschedule because you only have to take the learning to ride part in which he didnt have the time to train because the other class is ready. I said I took off for this 11/27 through Sunday. He said look all you got to do is come back on the weekend and he can take a day to train. Just call back and schedule for 12/2015. Then [redacted] said on Monday you must have been reckless and was pulled out the class that she was going to charge me a $250.00 fee. I said no just call Greg. He said he didnt have time to train me when the majority of the class is ready for obstacle course to just reschedule. I said please call Greg to find out what happened that I never got the chance to even train so how would I be reckless? [redacted] said she didnt need to that Greg will be going out of town and the next class is when it gets warm! I stated just please call Greg! I was also informed by Cycle Gear that I was already in the last class and that unless Greg was doing something special for me that PSS Greg lied about there being a 12/2015 class because they are informed of classes given at PSS. I dispute all payment to a class I was pulled out of being promissed a 12/2015 class. There are several untrue statements being told by PSS. 11/27/15- [redacted] MET GREG, – LOCATION –CLASSROOM [redacted], TACOMA WA 98409 @ 5:30PM – Where we filled out paperwork and was dismissed 8pm before the 10pm time. Greg explained in class that the class will train from 8am to 5:30pm on the actual motorcycle and classroom regardless of the weather everyone must be there. Greg stated the students will have two DAYS Saturday & SUNDAY to train if you fail you will re-take the failed test on Sunday 11/29/15. He then asked who has motorcycle experience to raise your hand! I informed Greg H that the only experience I have is zero.

THE INSTRUCTOR GREG TRAINED ON MOTORCYCLE BASICS – TURNING IT ON AND OFF. THE WEATHER WAS ZERO TO NO VISABILITY, 26 DEGREES WITH ICE FOG WITH A LIGHT RAIN NO PROBLEM BUT FREEZING. THE INSTRUCTOR GREG CALLED ON [redacted] TO ANSWER MOST OFF ALL THE QUESTION THAT [redacted] HAD NO PROBLEM GIVING THE ANSWER. THE ACTUAL STARTING UP AND RIDING THE BIKE THE STUDENTS WHO HAD PRIOR EXPERIENCE ROAD THE BIKE ACROSS THE PARKING LOT NO PROBLEM BUT WHEN IT WAS [redacted]S’ TURN GREG STOOD IN FRONT OF [redacted] ASKING HER TO RIDE INTO HIM AS IF SHE WANTED TO RUN HIM OVER WHICH MADE HER VERY NERVOUS. HE ASKED DON’T BE NERVOUS RUN ME OVER! I SAID CAN I JUST RIDE ACROSS LIKE OTHER STUDENTS HE SAID LOOK OVER THERE THEY ARE READY TO TAKE THE OBSTACLE COURSE AND YOU NEED BEGINNERS TRAINING! THE INSTRUCTOR STATED THERE ARE TOO MANY STUDENTS WHO CAME IN THE CLASS WITH EXPERIENCE AND EVEN HAVE THEIR BIKE ALREADY. The instructor stated if he had time to train a beginner he could have me trained in 8 hours. I stated OMG I thought this was a beginner class! He said no these people have experience riding dirt bikes or have just been riding without a license endorsement. Greg stated that he would like [redacted] to call back on Monday and reschedule to another class that have less experienced riders. I said but Greg I told you that I had zero experience on paperwork day 11/27/15. I have taken off from work to drive the 35 miles to take the class 11/27 and 11/28. Greg said give me a huge don’t be mad he stated that it’s not fair to the class who came in with experience and is ready for the obstacle course in an hour. [redacted] stated it’s not fair to [redacted] who came here for a beginner class only to be rescheduled to next month that I studied my tail off. Greg the instructor stated to come back take the written test if you pass it then you’ll just be rescheduled to have the actual motorcycle training in the parking lot then take the test for the endorsement. [redacted] stated no problem as long as I am compensated for your inconvenience of have an actual beginner signed up in a beginners training class. He said show up today at 1pm take the written test and pass it today! You do not have to come in on 11/29/15 but call in to the office in the afternoon to reschedule the on Bike Training not the written or just get your permit then train yourself so go purchase a motorcycle. [redacted] said if I wanted just a permit I could have just paid the $ 25.00 fee and take it at the DMV.  [redacted] waited in front of the classroom in her car for 3 hours in the meantime rain to Cycle Gear in Tacoma and purchased a helmet and proper motorcycle jacket to prepare for December Bike Riding rescheduled Class with plan on purchase of a motorcycle the salesman stated what class are you taking in 12/2015. I stated to the gentleman PSS in Tacoma. The salesman said that PSS informs them of all classes during the month and Cycle Gear was informed that there were no more classes. He said you are in the last class. I stated that Greg the instructor told me to call on Monday to reschedule to December. The salesman at Cycle Gear stated unless they just doing something special for you there is no more classes, so I ran back to the class with a purchase from Cycle Gear of $ 274.oo bucks, then sat in front of the class waiting  for Greg the instructors return. I took the test then passed it. Greg said you passed so call 11/30/15 Monday afternoon to reschedule or just get your permit I informed him of my intentions of getting my endorsement this year and taking the second part that he wouldn’t allow me to complete stating he didn’t have the time to do for a complete beginner. He said ok just call by Monday afternoon.
11/30/15- [redacted] – called first thing Monday morning and ask for a rescheduled appointment for training on the motorcycle then skill test for endorsement. [redacted] M[redacted] said oh no you do not get a refund you must have been riding dangerously during training. [redacted] stated no I did not have the opportunity. Greg stated he didn’t have the time to train me and ask me to reschedule the 2nd half. [redacted] stated no for him to single you out you must have been driving unsafe. I said no! I was the last [redacted] riding and he wanted me to ride really fast while he stood in front of me and I stated no! I don’t have the experience not to hit you let me ride a few without you in front of me. He said I tell you what look at all the people ready for other things just call back on Monday to take the 2nd half. [redacted] said no I do not think so!~ I asked her just call him to find out what’s going on where she said no she did not need too! I then called The Revdex.com!
