Thank you

We are responding the above complaint registered by [redacted].   As we have indicated to this customer, surgery performed at our hospital was done correctly and followed all medical and surgical guidelines.  In goodwill we extended a refund and the customer accepted such, confirming...

that she was satisfied with such and would seek no further restitutions.   Thank you for your attention to this matter.   -- Newburgh Veterinary Hospital [redacted]   [redacted]

Newburgh Animal Hospital only issued a partial refund in the amount of $320.40. The original surgery that was performed on my dog's ear totaled over $1,000. As a result of the first surgery being botched up, my dog's ear bled profusely after a doctor at Flannery Animal Hospotal removed the sutures. As indicated by the pictures that are attached, my dog is clearly missing a chunk of his left ear. Prior to performing surgery, the doctor at Newburgh Vet assured me that she would only be removing a growth from my dog's ear and stitching it up. Clearly, the surgery was performed incorrectly and, as a result, my dog is now missing a large chunk of the tip of his ear. If the doctor at Newburgh Vet would have consulted with another doctor in charge at the hospital, my dog would not be missing part of his ear.    Once Flannery Animal Hospital re-sutured my dog's ear, he was forced to wear a cone on his head for almost 3 months in order to heal properly.  If the doctors at Newburgh Vet had performed surgery correctly, my dog was only supposed to wear a cone on his head for a period of 2 weeks. Clearly, that was not the case and my dog was forced to suffer in pain for almost 3 months.    Newburgh Vet was only willing to issue me a refund for $320.40; this is the amount that Flannery Animal Hospital charged to re-suture my dog's ear. The doctors at Flannery Animal Hospital agreed that the surgery performed by Newburgh Vet was done incorrectly. The doctors at Newburgh Vet never used double sutures, while performing surgery, to ensure proper healing of my dog's ear. All I am asking for is a full refund of the surgery that was originally performed by Newburgh Vet since they destroyed my dog's ear by performing a botched up surgery.
