Puller Place at Carolina Forest Reviews (1)

I have several complaints about this apartment complex:1. This office does not have friendly hours for meeting its residents needs. When my mother came in on a Sunday night there were not handicap parking spots available and all the visitor parking was full. My mother happened to find a regular parking place that would make her have to walk past three buildings at night handicapped. We were going to get her a visitor pass Monday Morning and her car was towed at 1:30am with no notice. I paid 300 to get my disabled visiting mother car out of impound with no help or remorse from the managers. Then after we paid $300 they gave us a visitors pass. for her car so she could park anywhere. 2. After submitting notice that my dryer wasn't working via email because the verbal notice got me know where. It took them almost a month to get me a new dryer since I had to sell mine because I wasn't allowed to use them. In the mean time using the half working dryer that I was given my kids comforter was ruined because of how long it took to dry it. 3. After having my dumpster locked for 2 days and my trashing mounting I was forced to throw my trash over the gate. My managers then dug through my trash so that they could fine me $25.00 for not waiting till the reopened the trash gates.Product_Or_Service: Apartment Desired SettlementI would like to have the $25.00 fee dropped because we tried to dispose of our trash in the proper place and the landlord or manager had the trash locked up for 2-3 days time. Business Response Our office hours for the past 7 years while in business have always been 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM Monday-Friday and 10-3:00 on Saturdays during the Fall and Winter months. In Spring and Summer we have extended hours from 9-6:00 PM Monday-Friday and 10-5:00 PM on Saturdays. In addition we have a 24/7 emergency maintenance number that is given to all of our residents and is stated on our answering machine. In regards to the towing that occurred several months ago, the vehicle was improperly parked i.e. parked in front of the residential building with no parking permit. As stated in the lease agreement, parking addendum and by signage on the property (at entrances) parking is by permit only and that we may tow, without notice or demand any vehicle in violation of any provision within the addendum and/or lease agreement. We have nearly 400 parking spaces at our Community (over 50 of which are visitor parking) and during this time our occupancy was in the low 90's so there was ample parking. (Lease agreement, parking addendum and photos of signage can be provided if needed). The only work order that the lease holder (consumer info on this complaint is not the lease holder) has submitted was on 9/11/2013 at 12:07 PM via e-mail for their dryer not working. A new dryer was installed. The consumer may have verbally communicated the problem to a member of maintenance that is no longer employed by us but it was not called into our Offices which would have generated a work order in our system. We have a compactor at our Community for all household trash. The Dumpster that the consumer is speaking of is for Maintenance use only. It stays locked over the weekend and has a large sign on the front of gates stating the following: " NO DUMPING, Attention Residents- Take ALL trash and household goods to the Compactor! DO NOT LEAVE TRASH HERE You will be fined!"Trash from the consumer's apartment was found outside the Dumpster gates, littered onto our grounds, not over (inside the gated area). There is a $25.00 fine per bag of improperly disposed of trash that we find either by their front door or littered onto our Community. We strive our best to keep our community looking clean and attractive and ask that our residents help us with these efforts by adhering to the rules and regulations set forth in our lease agreements and addendums that they sign.
