I had a horrible experience with the Medrepublic! I paid almost $6000.00 for nothing. I had a lower facelift, even though I wanted a full facelift, and I look no different than before I went there. At first, before the swelling and bruising went down, it looked good, but after the swelling and bruising was gone, there was no difference in my looks. I feel like I paid for a permanent hair color, but only got a temporary color that washed out after a few days. I messaged the Doctor, Dr Ceballos, who blamed me for everything and doesn't want to do anything to fix this. Everyone I know has told me I was ripped off and wasted my money. Now I'm stuck with an $8000.00 dollar bill with nothing to show for it. I don't recommend them because they won't help you afterwards so basically your screwed if something goes wrong or your not satisfied. Don't do it!

Hello Sherry, it is unfortunate that you are unhappy with your results, but your review is misleading and inaccurate:

- Your surgeon advised against the full facelift. You agreed and scheduled the lower facelift + eyelids.

- Against medical advice, you smoked multiple cigarettes after your procedure and chose to fly back home within 24 hours of your surgery, instead of the agreed upon 7 days.

- days after surgery, you texted your surgeon: "it looks so beautiful! And I promise I'm done smoking! I do not want to mess up the great job u have done! I love it! I love it! I'm going to recommend u to everyone I know. And my eyes look so much more beautiful than they have ever looked thank you I look 20 years younger and feel that way I'm sure once my co workers and relatives see my new face you will be getting a lot of business thank you and I'll speak with you in a couple of days."

- It's now over 1 year later, and you are saying that you are unhappy and want a full refund.

- Since learning of your disappointment, your surgeon has requested photos and a video consultation to discuss - you have refused both.

- Just a few weeks ago, you let your surgeon know that you were willing to return back to him to get some other procedures done and refer friends and family including your daughter to your surgeon and MedRepublic for other services - on the condition that you get a full refund for the lower face lift + eyelids.

In summary, you agreed to not do the full facelift. You appeared happy with your results. You smoked cigarettes following surgery, which is devastating to the healing process. You left Guadalajara early, taking an unnecessary risk, which could have been devastating for you and everyone involved. Your surgical team was not part of your post-operative process. Given your questionable behavior, it is unfair to blame the surgeon or MedRepublic for dissatisfaction with your results.

We wish you the best and want you to know that the door is open should you wish to re-engage with MedRepublic and your surgeon to work towards a solution.

There is nothing that I did that would cause no results. I have had several surgeries, but this one looks as if nothing was done. I sent pictures, at your request, taken in the same spot I took the pre-surgery pictures, and there is no difference. I couldn't tell which picture was the before and which picture was after. I smoked a few ciggarettes due to lack of proper pain control afterwards. Even my primary doctor said he couldn't tell any difference, and he thought you should have included laser for my face for the price I paid.I don't know what other pictures I can provide that shows there's no difference in my appearance. My words were that I had hoped this could have been a long term relationship, but since you are not willing to do anything about my issues with this surgery, then how can I trust that you will do the right thing in the future. In the meantime, I can provide statements from other professionals that will agree with me. Like I said before, I don't think it's right that I'm stuck with this bill for 3 more years, yet have nothing to show for it. It's not right. Everyone I know says I wasted my money.

Again we are always open to re-engage and work out a solution with you. Unfortunately, we are not able to provide a full refund for services that were already rendered to you over a year ago. You had agreed to the treatment you and the surgeon discussed prior to your surgery. The reason patients have virtual consultations with the surgeon prior to placing a deposit and making any commitment is to ensure the patient is comfortable with the surgeon, has all their questions answered, and formulate a treatment plan that works for the patient. These steps were taken with you as with all patients and you agreed to the lower facelift + eyelid surgery for the price quote that Dr. Ceballos offered you by placing your deposit. You also discussed and agreed to the treatment plan with your surgeon in-person during your pre-operative consultation. If you had any hesitations, it is your responsibility to let your MedRepublic facilitator and doctor know this. We do not force any procedure upon any patient. MedRepublic and your surgeon have provided you nothing but excellent care throughout your journey and you were very pleased with everything even after your surgery. It is unfortunate that you are now bringing these concerns to us almost 1.5 years after your surgery has been completed. MedRepublic is here to help you to find a solution that works for both you and your doctor.

From Dr. *** (operating surgeon): The response to medications, surgery or any other treatments, differs between patients constantly. The same procedure can achieve extraordinary results for one patient and less noticeable ones for another.

Your surgery was performed in the exact same way as any face lift; the whole commitment we made with you was carried out to perfection, your transports, appointments, surgery, post-operative follow up, and everything else was done, as promised. The money you paid us was used in the exact way we said it would be used.

On the other hand, you did not comply with the follow-up care, post-operative instructions and medical recommendations that we gave you; you smoked a pack of cigarettes less than 24 hours after your surgery, saying you did it because you had no proper pain control (cigarettes are not pain killers and don't help at all in pain control. They do, however, cause lack of oxygen transport to the recently damaged tissues, impairing healing greatly). You also decided to travel back home 24 hours after surgery, instead of the minimum stay of 7 days that you had complied for. I suspect the change to your flight has added to your bill....

We offered an in person evaluation with you at my office, and in case you couldn't do it, we also offered a proper photography session to truly evaluate results, but you refused both of them, so I have no way of knowing if you experienced zero changes. It's only you saying so (and apparently a lot of people that know you). So this is your saying subjectively, instead of all of us looking at the result OBJECTIVELY, with proper photographs as the ones I took at my office, which are done with a proper angle, camera and light.

At this moment, you have rejected all of our proposals in finding a solution to the problem. All you want is your money back.

I did not smoke a pack of ciggarettes afterwards. I smoked 2. you failed to provide me with proper pain management. I don't know what evaluation your talking about and what proper photography are you talking about? I sent you two pictures at your request and because you noticed there wasn't a change , you then wanted me to do what? keep sending you pictures so you could pick them apart. you are just talking in circles. the bottom lines is there are no results to see. it doesn't matter who takes the pictures, where, the pictures are taken, the lighting of the pictures, etc. no results are no results. you just want your people to take the pictures so you can have them touched up to suit your needs. but I sent you before and after pictures and you as well as I cant tell any difference. the procedure I had done should have lasted up to 6 years. not 3 months. every doctor ive seen since the surgery has told me there is no difference that they can see. I look exactly the same as when I went to see you. its embarrassing when people find out ive had work done and then tell me I look no different. not just one or two people, its everyone I know says they cant tell any difference. like I said, im embarrassed to tell anyone about it because they have all said the same thing. and as for any follow up, my doctors here were able to help me with that. it wasnt brain surgery I had. just a simple procedure thats done often, but with everyone else showing some type of results.

The doctor states that you have been given options to evaluate and solve the problem, but you are not willing. It would be as simple as taking professional pictures with proper light to do the comparison. The doctor would not be taking the pictures or editing them. Your photographer would take them.

why would I have to take professional pictures when I didn't need to do that in the begining. that doesn't make sense. I sent him pictures in the same spot and lighting as I did before. there is no difference. i'm not paying 8000.00 dollars for nothing. thats not right. I read the results should last from 5 to 10 years. not 3 to 4 weeks.

Absolutely LOVE Medrepublic! I've had 3 different surgical experiences thus far and have been beyond pleased with the professionalism, attention to detail, and care that I've received. I have recommended them to several of my friends and will continue to. Hopefully will have another procedure in the near future.

Hello to one of our favorite patients of all time!!! You and all of your friends and family have been an absolute joy to work with! Thank you for your trust and support. Your perseverance and relentless dedication throughout your journey have played a big roll towards MedRepublic's commitment to build a bigger and better solution to serve the global community of patients looking for affordable and quality medical services.

I had duel surgeries through Med Republic in San Jose Del Cabo at H+ Hospital with Dr. Arie *** My experience couldn't have been more pleasant. Dr. *** was absolutely wonderful and truly cares about his patients. Ryan *** my concierge at Med Republic was top notch, professional, and compassionate. I will definitely return and will whole heartedly recommend Dr. *** and Med Republic, they are amazing.

My husband and I had full face lifts in Puerta Varrata in 2012 with MedtoGo, now MedRepublic. He was 69 and I was 58 and we still look great! The hospital was clean, with no history of infections or MERSA, unlike any Americn hospital. The process was seamless, painless and so convenient! When we came back to the States our friends thought we looked so good (not stretched or pulled) they immediately went for full face lifts, Breast reduction and "batwing" reduction. I cannot say enough good things about MedRepublic (then MedtoGo). We felt safe and well taken care of!
