Review: I went to Punta Cana Hair Salon on 1/**/15 @ 9:06am with my hair washed and with a hair treatment that I use all the time in it so they can just rinse it out and start blow drying my hair. When the lady rinsed out the treatment I had in my hair she applied something 2x and massaged and rinsed it out. I went over to the lady that was going to blow my hair out. She applied some shine and started to work on my hair. After she was done blowing it out she wrapped my hair and pinned it with bobby pins. The total was $42 + tip= $50. On 1/**/15 @ 10:00pm I wet my hair after almost 2 weeks of it being straight. Immediately I knew something wasn't right. My hair smelled like if I had a hair relaxer done. When I was a young girl my dad would take me to have relaxers done because he was a single father and did not know how to handle my curls so I know how it smells. I washed my hair 3x and put a treatment in for about 15mins and realized it still had the strong smell. I proceeded to comb my hair out and could not believe how many chunks of hair continued to fall from my head. For the next couple of days, every time I wet it I would smell that smell and more hair would fall out and my hair became very stringy and thin. (which I have pictures to prove). On 1/**/15 10:00am I decided to call the salon to find out what was put on my hair to see if I can treat it at home and to inform what was happening to me. I spoke with [redacted] (which is the owner) and she said she has no idea what could of happened. She offered to wash and treat it 2x for free, but what is that going to do for all the hair I lost and continue to lose? Or for the fact my curls are ruined, stringy, thin? I called the salon again at 6:30pm to tell [redacted] the full extent of damage done to my hair, because I was at work earlier so I couldn't really talk, in her words "maybe the blower was too hot". That would not explain the damage done to my hair and it was like I was being brushed off. I am stressed andgetting depressed.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund and this is to be reported. If possible I would also like information on how to take legal actions.
