Pups of Love

On 2/9/2019 I purchased what was reported to be a healthy male french bulldog. The breeder *** had stated that he was vet checked and fully vaccinated. We also recieved an emailed health certificate. He was supposed to come AKC registered as well as microchipped. The AKC paperwork has not been provided to date, and the dog was microchipped by my vet, at a charge to me. I took him to our vet upon receiving him for his required inoculations on 02/27/2019. At this time it was reported to us that the dog had severe defects that were genetic. I contacted the breeder and she advised us that she would do some research and get back to us. We dismissed the severe overbite, and limited vision issue as we were already attached to the puppy.

In September 2019, the dog, *** became very lethargic and started having seizure like activity after the simplest exercise. We took him to our vet who advised us at this point, he would need corrective surgery to prolong his life beyond 6 more months. At this time our Veterinary professional advised us to contact the vet on the health certificate provided to ***, as the issues he documented should definitely been notated in his records.

I contacted the office of *** DVM, and forwarded a copy of the health certificate to him. He advised us that this document had been forged and that he had never seen my puppy, ever.

I contacted *** and advised her that we wanted to be reimbursed for his surgery. She agreed to cover 1/2 and provide us with a puppy from a future breeding.

It has been nothing but excuses and avoidance from the breeder. She has sent me screenshots of her negative bank balance, yet puppies she is charging thousands for are flying out the door. She has not compensated me 1 dime for the lemon of a dog I now have the burden of caring for. Please dont get me wrong, we love him dearly, but had we known prior to the purchase of him within a year, in
Yoda had his 7,000.00 surgery, and a follow up 1,600.00 surgery in January.
