Brand new Dometic retractable awning had two holes in it Dometic will not warranty it
We purchased a custom built Team Spirit brand trailer from Techworks in Elkhart, Indiana It included a Dometic retractable awning Approximately weeks later when we opened the awning for the first time, we discovered two holes in itThe awning was not opened sooner due to inclement weather (snow, rain, high wind)
When we contacted Dometic, they informed us that their warranty is for days and that the issue was our problem since we did not inspect the awning before we accepted delivery of the trailer No where in any of our purchase documentation is this stated
Dometic refuses to accept responsibility for an obvious manufacturer's defect
In May we bought Prime Time Lacrosse RV, within the next year the first Dometic air conditioner (zone 1) went out We hired a service man and the air condition was replaced under warranty Then, 1/years later, the second Dometic air condition (zone 2) went out I called and my service man called and Dometic told us it was out of warranty However, the service man told me that the air conditions from had a bad batch and that some of them were getting replaced even though they were out of warranty When, I filed a complaint with Dometic, the woman there told that there had been no recalls that this was not a safety issue If the air conditioners are leaking refrigerant that is a safety issue When my service man called to order another unit, the warranty department at Dometic, stated that the company had a small recall on some of the units because of using cheaper copperI investigated this over the internet and found many forums that showed this to be true We hav
