Purcell & Associates

Hello,

I am so lucky to find Purcell & Associates to rent out my property and then sell it a year after. It had been very smooth process all the way from day 1 to End.

[redacted] advertised the property pretty nice for both Rental and Sale with very nice professional pictures.

As I am out of state, she took care of the property very well and she was there always when I wanted her.

After Tenant moved out, she had taken care of all the repairs, paint & carpet installation (unfortunately with the Tenant that I got..!) for me. She had done all the hard work I would imagine a home owner would do to get it back into shape and put the home for sale.

When the Buyer had inspection and repair requests, she was there for me personally to make sure all repairs were done properly with out any issues.

She had done the Realtor Brokers meeting to introduce the property to all brokers in the area and got a nice report on property from each and everyone of them. She had also done the Open houses few times.

She also negotiated for me with the Closing Title company on Seller's closing expenses.

[redacted]'s experience, expertise, guidance & hard-work helped me a lot to sell my property quickly in a competitive market.

All in all I would recommend Purcell & Associates 100% to all property owners who is trying to Rent or Sell.

I live in the neighborhood on the street behind a house being sold by [redacted] of Purcell and Associates. Ms. [redacted] held an open house at [redacted] all day June 14, 2014. It was fine with me that [redacted] left flyer on my front porch regarding an open house being held BUT then when I checked my phone voice mail messages later that day, I discovered Ms. [redacted] Purcell had called my house to also invite me to the open house, and stated if I wanted a good new neighbor to purchase the home, I should contact her and get involved somehow.
First off, I am registered on the NATIONAL DO NOT CALL LIST. Ms [redacted] Purcell is required by law to check to make sure she is not contacting anyone registered on this list. She broke the law and I am tired of this happening all the time with people or companies thinking they are exempt from the law. Therefore, I am writing to complain in hopes this hurts her business more than if I contact her directly.
Secondly, as I understand the law, I can not object to anyone possibly buying a house. There are laws protecting everyone these days. I can't believe she even suggested this in her voice mail to me.

We currently rent one of their properties and we recently had some work done by a worker they hired. My wife's diamond engagement ring was stolen and Purcell and Associates did nothing to assist in the financial loss and said it wasn't their fault so they wouldn't do anything to help. A report was even filed with the police department but unless someone was arrested, they said they wouldn't do anything to assist. I would never use them to buy a property nor would I rent a property they manage. They are a cheap company that does little to serve the people they work with.

I leased a home under the management of this company and was extremely disappointed with their professionalism and management. There were multiple issues listed on the initial move-in paperwork that were never addressed throughout the entirety of our lease. When we called the office, there were many times that there was no return phone call. Additionally, there was no one in the office during office hours when we would stop in to report a problem or to pay rent. After giving move out notice, one employee was extremely rude and unprofessional in her demeanor even though we invited her into our home to show the property to potential future tenants. Upon move out, there was an inspection where only three or four minimal notations were made as to something that had been inadvertently missed while cleaning. Ms.[redacted] verbally warranted to us that the cost for cleaning those few items would be extremely minimal and not to worry. However, when we received our paperwork and return of the security deposit, she had deducted several hundred dollars. The deduction was cited as "cleaning costs", generally, with no further notation. We followed up with Ms.[redacted] directly and she was extremely rude and unprofessional on the phone, interrupting and evasive in answering questions. She stated there were things she had to have cleaned that were not notated on the walk-through sheet. Furthermore, she insinuated that we should have moved out of our home prior to the termination date on our lease and scheduled the walk-through multiple days in advance in order to avoid the excessive cleaning costs. I would not recommend entering into business with this company.

A huge thanks to [redacted], [redacted] & [redacted] @ Purcell & Associates in helping us find the perfect home, We are so grateful on how professional and attentive your staff was with us during the process . We really were so lucky to come across your Management company , with your caring ways and putting us at ease in assisting us through our difficult time of losing our home and moving into a rental property. I know for a fact I was hesitated to go through a management company, but after meeting the ladies @ Purcell & Associates, [redacted] & I came to a conclusion that you guys were the company we were going to us to find our home, with that being said we really want to say you have meet our expectations in what we were looking for. When you think of a realtor company you think professional, well not with this company. It started out rough, we found them on [redacted] and it was advertised as first and last months rent, when we went to sign the lease they added a 300.00 dollar deposit for "cleaning" when I brought it to their attention it was never mentioned or posted on the website they so "oh well there is a cleaning deposit" that should have been a red flag. We had a major water leak from our AC unit and the AC upstairs as well, my sons carpet was smelly and it took them a month to replace it and that was after I threatened to move out and that was when they finally took action. Staff can be rude and expect you to do the foot work for maintenance when a repair is needed. We will not be renewing our lease and I would never recommend this company to anyone.
