February 28, 2017Dear [redacted]:Pure Euro Motorsporl, LLC has asked me to respond to the above complaint lodged by [redacted] of Pocono Summit. [redacted] account of events with his [redacted] automobile is incomplete and inaccurate. He was not charged $900.00. His car was never...

in storage for six months. There were no “wires hanging all over the floor." He wanted to obtain his own parts. He did enjoy free storage for about a month while the parts wait took place.Pure Euro’s interaction with the customer was as follows;[redacted] car was brought in for service on August 29, 2017, with a transmission shifting issue. The automatic transmission computer was diagnosed as the problem. It was removed and replaced with a functional unit. After service the car did not manifest the shifting problem. It was released to the customer. The total charge for the service and parts was $227.16, paid on August 30, 2017.On October 3, 2017 the car was brought in for a “battery light"code display on the instrument panel. Upon examination, the alternator was not charging the electrical system or battery. The alternator was replaced with a new unit and alternator function restored. Even so, the vehicle continued to display a battery fault code.Further diagnostics pointed to the PCM (engine computer) as the cause of the battery light. Due to the cost of a new PCM. the customer indicated he would secure his own on [redacted]. As an accommodation to him he was told the car could be kept at the shop at no charge. The customer was charged for removal of the old alternator and installation of a new alternator ($140) and, $415.82 in total, which included the diagnostic time. Part of the bill was paid in October and the final amount paid on November 4, 2017. As of November 4, the customer still had not obtained a new PCM.Several weeks after November 4, 2017 the customer had a towing service take the car from the Pure Euro shop to his home. During service, the interior kick panel had been removed for access to the PCM, and the PCM electrical connector remained disconnected from the PCM. The PCM was given to the customer at the time of pickup, the kick panel had not been reattached. There were no "wires hanging all over the floor.”Pure Euro did not hear from [redacted] further until the latter part of January 2018 when he called to complain. His call did not prove fruitful and ended with his threats of bodily harm to shop personnel. The call was terminated by the shop as a result. Please let me know if any further information is desired.Very truly yours
