To whom it may concern:
The furniture purchased by the consumer was received in the same condition as seen by the purchaser and although the mfgshipped the wrong mirror, the company was ready to ship the correct one ASAP
The consumer was completely in error in reference to our cabinet refinisher who has over years of experience & inspects all furniture before pior delivery.
The original deposit was refunded minus the re-stocking fee of $although there was no reason to do so & the re-stocking fee will not be returned; in addition when the consumer came to pick up the furniture minus the appearance of his spouse;there was not one comment pertaining to the appearance of said mdse
This consumer is not welcome @ our Puritan furniture in the present or the future & this concludes this mockery, sincerely, the staff

I am
rejecting this response because:
An item that has supposed 'wormholes' in the dresser drawer fronts is not considered excellent condition when the showroom model on display has no such 'wormholes'. Chipped paint and the completely wrong mirror (which also had a chip in the paint) is not considered excellent condition. If the items were in excellent condition at the time of pickup, why did the in-house refinisher have to refinish the faces of the dressers AFTER I looked at them and pointed out the quality issues? If I wanted to buy refinished/refurbished furniture, I would have gone to a consignment shop and had them refinished myself for less money than purchasing these 'new' pieces of furniture that needed to be refinished
Sincerely,

Review: A furniture item was ordered from this store and told would be in for pick up within 6-8 weeks of purchase. Half of the item was paid for upon ordering.

After 8 weeks, there was no effort made by the company to reach out to give any status update. Customer reached out to company on several occasions and only received a return call after the 4th attempt.

Upon that return call, the owner had explained that there were supplier issues and that a loaner piece of furniture would be a possibility and that I would be given a status update in a week. A week later, an employee called and said that the furniture item would not be available 3 months after it was initially ordered and that a loaner piece of furniture was not allowed. Upon explaining the rule, I understood why, but I was made to feel like I should have known the rule all along.

When trying to make arrangements for the piece of furniture to come in, the company did not offer any sort of compensation nor did they even offer to deliver the piece of furniture to our home. I am still waiting on the item.Desired Settlement: Some sort of compensation or delivery of the order (rather than having to pick up the item) should be offered.

It is extremely poor practice to take half the payment for an item and not update customers on the status of their order. Had I known this was a possibility, I would have requested a refund the moment I knew they were having supplier issues and gone to a different store. It is not right that I was never notified of the supplier issues. I understand it is a custom piece of furniture, but that should be considered the cost of doing business considering this company seems to always use this supplier.

I also want it o be known that this company runs their business very poorly with staff being extremely rude to customers, raising their voices to them over the phone (which happened nearly every time I actually was able to talk to someone).

Review: I put an order in at Puritan Juvenile Furniture on September 11th 2013 for 3 pieces of childrens bedroom furniture, 2 dressers and 1 mirror. At that time, we were informed that the order would take 4-6 weeks to come in and we put a deposit down of 50% ($740.00) to place the order. The original discussed timeframe for delivery was not met and our items were finally available for pickup after 14 weeks and 3 days on December 21st, 2013. On December 21st, I went to the store to pick up my items. I went into the showroom, and gave them my credit card to process the remainder of the bill ($745.71). After paying, I drove over to the loading docks to take my furniture home but quickly realized that the quality of the finish on our dressers and mirror were nowhere near the quality on the stores floor model. There were a number of dents on the fronts of the drawers, chips/rubs in the paint, and worst of all there were small holes (which the sales staff at Puritan Juvenile described as worm holes) on the faces of a number of the dresser drawers. These wormholes were not present on the showroom floor display that we used as a reference to purchase our items. On top of the damaged furniture issues we were having, the mirror that the store was trying to give me was not the mirror that we had originally purchased from them. Upon confronting [redacted], the manager of the store, about the mirror, he admitted that he had known that it was the wrong mirror even though he did not bring this issue to my attention before accepting my payment.[redacted] stated that he would have his in-house furniture finisher refinish the damaged dressers for us to make them look brand new again. He also told us that he would try to expedite the ordering of the corrected mirror for us. Unfortunately, both of these options were unacceptable to us. The dressers were purchased from a separate furniture manufacturer which would mean that the finish applied at the manufacturer would be different from the finish that Puritans furniture finisher would apply. No matter how good of a job Puritans finisher would do, the finish would never be the same between the finish applied at the manufacturer and Puritans in house finisher. Additionally, we had already waited in excess of 14 weeks to receive our items and we didnt want to wait an additional amount of time to receive the mirror we originally ordered. At this time, I proposed to [redacted] and his salesperson, [redacted], that we could just walk away from this deal, he could keep his dressers and sell them to someone else and we would receive all of our money back since the items Puritan was trying to sell us was not of the same quality as displayed on their showroom floor. Puritan refused this option and told us that if we didnt accept the fixed dressers and new mirror, they would charge us a restocking fee of $250. We refused to accept the dressers that were fixed by Puritans finisher so they credited us back our balance minus the $250 restocking fee.Desired Settlement: At this time, Im getting the Revdex.com involved in an effort to receive the $250 that I feel is due to be refunded to us. I can understand the restocking fee charge if the items we were purchasing were of the same quality that the showroom model was, but in our situation this was not the case. The store tried to patch the inferior quality of work completed by this furniture manufacturer then tried forcing us to take it home with us for the same price as purchasing brand new, high quality, items straight from the factory.
