We respectfully reject the response from Badger Fence because a brochure with a detailed explanation of what would or would not be covered under warrantyWe were told on numerous occasions by their salesman Mr*** that if ANYTHING happened in the next years, it would be covered under Badger's Year WarrantyMr*** made that statement to me, my husband Alex and both of our sons on numerous occasions when Mr*** came out to inspect our issues in and in We have been respectful in trying to resolve this issue and now Badger is threatening us to file a lawsuit against us? We feel that this is very unfair because we have only asked them to cover what Mr*** stated would be fixedAs law-biding citizens and paid in full customers; we have vested our hard earned money for the services and warranty that Badger Fence has refused to honor after the factIt saddens us that we have no other choice but to defend our numerous request and money $5,paid to Badger Fence and will move forward with taking this to Small Claims Court and contact Consumer ProtectionWe are so disappointed in action that Badger is forcing us to take.

Our brochure was provided in order for someone to pick out a fence style. In that brochure it clearly states what happens to cedar wood in the outdoor elements. She does not think cedar will have hair line cracks or weather grey. The boards we replaced were brand new and had hair line cracks and she wants those replaced. What she is looking for does not exist. As far as the warranty goes, we do offer a 7 year warranty for anything structural that would go wrong with the fence, one year on gates. This is like saying I have a 3- year 36000 mile on my car but demanding new tires. How can we be possibly going back on our warranty when she supposedly never got one or know what it covers. We can provide our brochure that is given out, along with our warranty that every fence company in Wisconsin uses. We have not been putting up so called defective material since 1945. Any negative feed back on this issue will constitute a lawsuit

This information was not provided to me in the beginning when I entered into Agreement with Badger Fence. Their salesman [redacted] came out in late Fall 2016 and inspected the issues we were having. At that time he stated that we should not worry because we have a 7 year warranty and Badger would stand by it. He stated that they would come out in the Spring/Summer of 2017 and repair/replace the issue boards. I was NOT given a written copy of the Warranty only the word of the salesman Mr. [redacted]. Not until after Badger came out on June 2nd, the issue of them not repairing/replacing the board came into an issue! I want Badger to honor the 7 year Warranty that was promised to me by Mr. [redacted] every time I spoke with him prior to them coming out on June 2nd. It is NOT fair or right for a company to go back on the word and warranty! We paid in GOOD FAITH & IN FULL over $5,300.00. I would like to get this issue resolved so we can stain our fence in 6 weeks. If we can't resolve the issue, I guess we need to go to Small Claims Court or seek Legal advice.

Our company installed a cedar fence for this customer in May 2016. Literature was given to the customer as to what to expect and what is normal for cedar fencing. Cedar is not a man made product and therefore cracking, splitting and cupping are a normal occurrence. Our company did however,...

go to the customers property and replaced approx. 70 boards, two 6x6 and two 4x4 posts and a 10' double drive gate, in the amount of $1500.00, which is not covered in our warranty, as a good deed. Structurally, there is nothing wrong with the fence. Now she wants the entire fence replaced, despite what is a natural occurrence with cedar.  It also states in our warranty what is covered and what is not covered, i.e.; splitting, cracking and cupping are not replaced just because of the natural phenomena of cedar product. The customer believes that weathering and cracking should not be taking place and our company does different work in the suburbs compared to urban Milwaukee. We can send of the literature and warranty if need be.
