We discussed Ms [redacted] 's complaints againShe has come to the understanding that a claim of this size, unfortunately is more than her insurance policy coverageWe have discussed different options to help try to keep costs down as much as possible and she is happy with thisShe apologized for any misunderstandings regarding our initial estimate, which did not include repairsShe understands there may be some cost out of pocket, but we are more than willing to work with her to get her back to pre-loss conditionShe was very happy with this outcome

The response from Puroclean was filled with inaccuraciesFirst, I did not call them about a mold issue in my attic! I called them directly about the water mitigation work needed in my bathroomThe water issue was discovered and reported to my insurance company on July 14, 2017, not July They came to my home to do an estimate for the bathroom damage on July 20, they were the third company I had out for an estimateThey told me they were a preferred provider with ***, and I looked on the Revdex.com site and saw an A+ rating, so I hired them that dayI would learn later, that was a huge mistakeThey are not a preferred vendor with ***, they never were! They were lying about that outright, just like other thingsWhile they were there for the bathroom, they asked if I wanted them to do an inspection in my attic as wellTha is how the attic ever came into the pictureHector said they found a tiny but of mold in the attic, nothing alarming, something we might want to eventually addressI did give them an excellent endorsement the day they removed the equipment from my home, as I had not yet reviewed the bill submitted to ***, and had not yet realize they did the job incorrectly, causing rashes and breathing issues for my family and I following the job they didI complained to Hector the very night they started, and told him I had to turn off the machines because the fumes were overwhelming, making us sick to our stomachs and hard to breath, non toxic solution or notHe said fine, turn them offThe next day, they reassured me it was normal, turned the machines back on, but I turned half of them off within the hour and sealed to bathroom door with plastic wrap to try and contain the fumesThey were so strong! The next day, Issac came to check and I told him the situationI asked them if Puroclean ever sealed stuff up with plastic, since the fumes were so overwhelmingHe said NOI asked him if he had and big contractor bags so I could seal the bathroom back up myself, it would be faster and thicker than plastic wrapHe did, and gave me several in case I needed themHe commented on how he was going to suggest they start using them too, to contain the fumesEspecially since this bathroom is feet from our three bedrooms! We have four children who were exposed to thisI did contact Evan when done and told him about the bill being incorrect, and that we were all sick following them being thereHe did finally offer to bring one air scrubber, and they left it for two weeks only because they were too busy to come pick it up after the two days he originally agreed toI did tell him the problem with the bill, he said he would talk to the owners and get back to meI did not hear back from him for almost a month, and he told me they were out of town and swamped with the hurricane in Texas, then when the other one hit in Florida I left it alone figuring they were there too.Melinda M [redacted] called me in early November, I told her my concerns with the bill and they didn't use plastic, which I found out is called "under containment" for the level of mold we had in the bathroomShe said, the equipment was in your house, it doesn't matter if you had to keep it off, you are charged the sameYou did not ask us to do it under containment, therefore we didn't do that or charge you for thatShe said they would just keep adding charges if they didn't pay, whether I was disputing the bill or not! After that call, I consulted with an attorneyI will update further as this unfoldsPlease be sure that all of the details of this compliant are published fully.Thank You, [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: they did not respond to me yetJust to clarify they knew my budget was 5k and they agreed to do everything for the 5kNow they are telling me that they want more than 5k to do the workThe walls are now left open and they did not do the work they promised me that they would do within my budgetThey were suppose to do all the walls, ie replace drywall and paint walls , and put carpetingMy walls are open and the job needs to be done per agreement we had

[redacted] originally called PuroClean due to a mold issue in her attic. She requested an estimate for remediation of the visible mold, this was provided to [redacted] on 7/20/17. The next day, there was a water loss in the home, unrelated to the mold issue. [redacted] hired us to handle the water...

mitigation. At that time, we let her know that we are a preferred vendor with her insurance carrier, [redacted]. We completed the water mitigation and submitted our estimate to [redacted], following their guidelines and used the industry standard estimation software, Xactimate. [redacted] approved our estimate and paid [redacted] directly for our services and asked that we collect directly from her. Upon completion of the work, [redacted] signed our Excellent Service Endorsement and complimented our crew (please see attached). During this process, the mold in the attic had still not been addressed, only the water mitigation in the basement. After about a week, [redacted] called to let us know that her and her family were not feeling well and she thought that it might be due to the work we completed and the cleaning products we used. As a courtesy, we placed an air scrubber in her home, at no charge for almost 2 weeks to help ease her mind. All of the products that we use are plant based and safe, nothing abrasive or toxic. After we removed the air scrubber from [redacted]'s home, we still had not received payment for the water mitigation. We sent her invoices and called her to follow up. She disputed our bill, but when we requested what she was disputing, she stated she would get back to us with specifics, but those were never received. After multiple attempts to get this resolved, [redacted] became unresponsive. We would like to find a resolution on this claim.
