[Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolutionPlease respond here ONLY] I am insulted that the president of Purofirst is trying to blow off their irresponsibility on my brain injuryFirst of all, he was never present at my home before, during, or after the jobWhile it is true that I have had surgeries on my brain and occasionally rely on assistance from other people, that does not provide evidence of their not causing damage to my dining room tableI did have a friend/business owner assist me with the overwhelming details of this job, but that has nothing to do with my dining room table being damaged either in transit to and/or from my home, or while in storageHad the table been damaged before it was removed from my home, it would have been noted by their inventory person at the timeThey did an extensive inventory of items removed including items that were water damaged from the upstairs condoThey made specific notes on their inventory of those damaged itemsThe table was not on that listAdditionally, at a follow up meeting with *** ***, their project manager, *** ***, the aforementioned business owner, and me, the damaged table was on a long checklist of uncompleted items and concernsAdditionally, when I brought up the damaged table to *** *** at that meeting, he indicated 'he would look into it', and get back with meHe never did, nor did he, at the time, suggest that they had the means to repair it in-houseHad he offered that at the time, I would have taken him up on itIt was only after he, and their moving coordinator, ***, both denied responsibility did I seek an outside remedyFrankly, I was concerned that the table was not repairable, so I sought an independent opinionThe company I requested assistance from, came to my home, assessed the damage, and indicated he could repair it on the spot without removing it and taking it to his shopIt is precisely what he did, at a substantially lower cost than I imagined possible. Again, I will reiterate my being insulted by their president's observations about my abilities without ever having met meIf he would like to challenge my recollections he attributes to my brain injury, I will also be in contact with a civil rights, disability attorney for further assistance, remediesI would also be happy to give you *** *** contact information if you would like to confirm that the table was, in fact, discussed at the meeting with *** ***I also have photos of the table in its prior, undamaged condition
Regards,

There are two lies in the Purofirst response. 1. There was not any judgement rendered. We settled out of court prior to going to trial. The reason we were hesitant to pay was because Purofirst was supposed to repair the leaks in our roof. They did not and I had to hire another contractor to seal the leak.2. They offered to repay our overpayment at a rate of $5.00 per month not the $20 as stated in their rebuttal. These people are not to be believed or trusted.

We were contacted on 5/15/15 Friday at 4:30 PM.  We dispatched a crew from home to owners house. After getting on the roof and inspecting roof found that a cridder has been chewing on a boot around a vent stake. Also found a missing shingle tab at the top of the roof.
Tech thought it would be...

better to fix the two spots that was leaking then install a tarp and then come back for repairs. Our records show nothing about having problems later on. There could have been other leaks but we would have come back out and took care of this. This was under the owners deductible and they took care of the repairs inside. We only charged for an EMS run and min roof repair. We refunded the over pay back to owner within 10 days. All our charges are standard for the industry.

Purofirst Disaster Services has been in the Restoration business since 1994. We operate with the highest of professionalism with our customers. We go out of our way to please customers on their schedule. On 4/29/2017 we spoke briefly with [redacted] the first morning of the emergency. He stated...

that his daughter [redacted] would be handling the situation as he was at [redacted] and was very busy. Our employees are trained to collect insurance deductibles. We had already spoken with [redacted], the Cincinnati Insurance Adjustor, and we were advised by her that there was a $1,000.00 deductible and limited coverage. It was never mentioned nor discussed with [redacted] about the limited coverage. Our pricing is done through Xactimate estimating and the prices are set by the insurance industry, not our company. Pricing is not adjusted randomly because a customer may or may not have money. The Scope of work was provided to the insurance company and [redacted]. We employee trained professionals. [redacted], the employee on site, is Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) trained in Water Damage Restoration Applied Structural Drying. Yes, she entered the basement, as that is where the breaker box is located. All of the electrical outlets were tested prior to using any of them. We asked to return on Friday to check the equipment. We were told by [redacted] that no one would be available until the following Monday as they would be involved with Oaks Day on Friday and the Kentucky Derby on Saturday. Our crews were there Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday getting all of the excess content dried. Upon completion of work on Wednesday 5/10/2017 all areas were dry, including the paneling that was detached from the bottom of the walls where dryers were placed. We have photographic evidence of this.  On this day all moisture readings were in fact at the proper levels for this area. Not only was Odo-Ban used to dispel any lingering smells, but Quat 44 was used as well. Quat 44 is a disinfectant, Anti-Fungicidal, and prevents and kills Mildew.  Our scope of work has been reviewed and approved by the insurance company as it is their job to review and assess any unwarranted services. The charges stand as quoted and are in no way out of line.

Response is attached Purofirst completed work for the [redacted] in July 2011.  The [redacted] received payment from the insurance company for the work that we performed on their house.  They refused to pay and we hired a lawyer and put a lien on their property.  After we won the...

judgement the [redacted] said they had already spent the money.  They paid monthly installments of $200 per month since March of 2014 and a final payment of $300 on August 31, 2015.  Mrs. [redacted] called and stated that she overpaid and requested a refund.  We told her we would pay monthly installments of $20 per month.  She did not accept this arrangement.  After further consideration we feel that we provided an interest free loan to the [redacted] for 4 years.  The interest for one year on $3,500 at 12% interest is $420.  We do not feel that the [redacted] are owed any refund from us.
