Purpose Wrecker Sales Reviews (3)

I purchased a Dodge for my Towing business for $25,About a week after using it, the engine completely broke downI took it to multiple shops to get a diagnosis and they were all certain the issue was an existing one and Purpose Wrecker was Aware of the issueI was told that an oil change was done of the truck prior to me picking it up, along with a full checkThat was definitely not the case The oil has not been changed, and they knew of the engine issueI called them multiple times in order to resolve the issue, but they refused to help
I spent $in order to buy an engine and fix the truckI was out of work so I lost money in that aspect as well
They completely lied to me about the condition of the truck, and now I am suffering the consequences

Complaint: *** I am rejecting this response because: I met ** while at my place of work (*** gas station), and through conversation, learned that he sold trucks at a nearby shopI decided to go and check it outOn March 15th, He showed me a couple trucks and I was
interested in the Dodge 5500, priced at $24,The truck was already clean and the bed was painted and ready to go, as ** statedThe next day, I called him, and offered to take the truck for an external inspection, on my own expense, to assure the truck was in good condition** asked which dealership I would take it to, as they would ship it themselvesLater, he took me through the shop and was confident that the technicians can check the truck fullyI also messaged ** and asked if an oil change will be done on the truck, and ** said he will ask the technicians to do soI noticed a few issues and glitches, such as: -Check engine light, which ** assured me that it was common due to an EGR delete kit and exhaust delete kit, which were previously installed-The front tires were in extremely bad condition and ** stated they will be replaced, along with tie rods and ball joints -On March 29th, I went to test drive the truck for the second time, and the tires, tie rods, and ball joints were replacedThe truck was not pulling well, and ** stated the hoses and clamps for the turbo needed replacementOn March 31st, ** told me the replacements were made and the truck was readyI picked up the truck April 11th, I had the truck parked for almost three weeks prior to beginning to use itI used it briefly for four days prior to the engine failureI took the truck to multiple dealerships to diagnose the issue, and all had the same response: oil was not changed for quite a long time, and the coolant was lowAttached (Pages 1-5) are screenshots of messages that ** and I exchanged** failed to respond to many messages, including the one where I asked if he spoke to his Boss, as he said he would on our phone conversationIn my messages, I stated what the dealerships had said, and why the engine broke, and ** had no response, which assures me proper work was not done on the truck and purpose wrecker is guilty for the failureNot only did I spend an additional $10,to fix the truck, I was out of work for weeks, and my life was in danger, due to this engine issuePages and of the attached, highlights portions of Purpose Wrecker’s reply which are falseAs stated previously, the day I initially saw the truck, it was priced at $24,000, and unlike their claim, the bed was already painted and the truck was detailedFrom the list they provided on page 6, the only things that were not done when I first saw the truck were the tie rods, ball joints, and tires, which I pointed out** also said the price will remain $24,Additionally, when I called ** on May at PM I only asked for a recommendation on which dealer I should send it toHe said he did not knowHe did provide a towing company's number per my requestThere was no mention or discussion about money or a refund that nightTheir claim that I asked for money or a refund on that night is absurdI towed the truck to a Dodge dealership who diagnosed it and found the issueI called ** to make him aware of the issue and see if we can work out a solutionI did not ask for a refund, rather I asked if ** would talk to his manager to see if there is anything they could do** failed to respond and completely ignored ?The issueI did mention that the Dodge dealership approximated the issue will cost between $10,000-$20,On page 7, they claim their technicians are not capable of Engine diagnosis and that I should have spent extra money to bring a technician in to check out the truckAs I stated previously, I did offer to get an external inspection but ** assured me that the technicians can do everything on the truck without exceptions or exclusions, and that they would do a thorough check on the truck, including an oil changeOn the same page, they stated all the fluids were checked, however the dealerships I took the truck to, assured me the coolant was very lowThe dealerships also checked if there was any leakage, and there was notHence, the issue was not leakage, rather Purpose Wrecker failed to check the truck completelyThe dealerships also mentioned that it will take a significant number of miles for oil and coolant to start burning, not miles, which is what I droveOn page and 5, a text to ** states that I was promised an oil change and they neglected to do it** did not respond, which is the indicator of their faulty actions towards me as a customer and my safetyOn May 4th page 4, I called and texted ** to see if he could speak to his boss, and of course, no responseOn May 8th, I called and texted again, and no response once againThe truck cost me $10,to fix, not including missed workThe main point here is, I called ** to see if anything can be done to helpI initially did not ask for a refund, because I thought Purpose Wrecker was a decent business who will help their customersMy issue was regarded as insignificant and unimportant, as my messages and phone calls were disregardedI believe it is clear that Purpose Wrecker is responsible for this issue and I still stand by my first request of reimbursement Sincerely, *** ***
