Review: I have been going to Purrfect Cleaners for over 15 years. A note was left on the door following a fire. The note stated customers would be contacted. I returned to the cleaners every week for an update. The last time I went to the cleaners the note was removed and the store emptied.Desired Settlement: I would like to be compensated for the clothes I lost in the fire.

Review: I have used Purr Fect Dry clears for a very long time & I had submitted 2 designer suites,1 dresses, 6 pants and 10 dress shirts to be cleaned by Purr Fect Dry Cleaners. In December of 2013 the business experienced a fire which caused the cleaners to close. I called the number on the receipt, and visited the location weeks following the fire. The phone ran then cut off. About 3 weeks after the fire there was a sign placed on the door that stated, they would be contacting their customers about their item. I waited several weeks waiting for the call which never happened. I called the phone number several times over the next few months only to get a recording that stated, the number is no longer in service. In August 2014 I observed workers cleaning out the building. There was no longer a sign on the door and there was no way to contact the owners. I contacted the Valley Stream Fire Department and the gave me the phone number of their fire Adjuster "[redacted]". They could not provide me any details either. They told me to file the case with my home owners insurance which I find very Strange. After months and months of going by the business, making inquiries in the neighborhood I am at a financial loss of the items submitted for servicing. I am also thing to file a legal claim against the business including their fire adjuster at this time & I recommend all the folks that have been victimized by this businesses.Desired Settlement: At this point I wanted the business or their insurance compensate for my clothes that were destroyed . I still have the receipt of my clothes.

Review: Dry cleaner had been torched. What do I do to get a refund. Unsuccessful in reaching anyone at this establishment.Desired Settlement: I would like to know how do I get a refund on the items that we're ruin in there fire. This establishment had been torched three weeks before christmas. I've seen then,tried calling this establishment about item left to be dry cleaner.I've been unsuccessful in reaching someone. I still have my receipt and would like a refund.

I decided to go to another Purr Fect Cleaners located on [redacted] in [redacted] hoping they were a sister business. They were not affiliated with the cleaners in Valley Streams. After months and months of going by the business, making inquiries in the neighborhood I am at a financial loss of the items submitted for servicing.Desired Settlement: I would like to be compensated for the items submitted. I currently still have the receipts for my 4 pairs of pants, 7 dresses, 3 pant suites and 1 sweater.

Review: In December of 2013 the cleaners was burned to the ground by arson. The [redacted] left note on door with number stating if you had clothes/property there they will contact you and to leave message at the number. Now note is gone. Phone number no longer in service and I am out 25, 25 dress shirts. No way of contacting them.Desired Settlement: Cash refund of lost clothing valued at $750

Review: About a year ago (December 2013 timeframe) I brought 5 pairs of dress pants and 5 dress shirts to be dry cleaned. I work as a [redacted] in midtown mahnattan that requires casual dress and would use this establishment for all my drycleaning as it is in convienent location from the Valley Stream RR station to my house. A few days after I dropped of my clothing there was a fire that destroyed the entire establishment. According to the Nassau County Police reports, the fire was ruled arson and is supposidly still under investigation (according to the insurance adjuster). My complaint is that the customers have not received any instructions from the owners as to what is being done to compensate them for thier losses. Thier phone number has been disconnected, there are no signs on the front of the store giving any information as to who to call. The only reason I obtained the insurance adjusters phone number is I had to contact the valley stream fire department, as those folks were nice enough to provide me with the adjusters number. (The adjuster can be reached at ###-###-####). I have contacted my local congressman re this matter and never hear back from thier office. I am not only speaking for myself but for all the customers who have suffered losses there and have receicved no direction.
