Putnam County National Bank

Review: I have been a customer of Putnam County National Bank for over 20 years. I have had a checking account and savings account there. I have currently a safe deposit box still, which I have almost a 500.00 bill with them. When opening the box over ten years ago, I paid the initial box fee and then paid the next year. I asked the bank to set up a pull direct from my checking account for the years to come. I NEVER bounced a check and was always in excellent standing with them. I closed the accounts last july as I got remarried and moved to another state. I went to remove my belongings in the box and was told of the 500.00 balance. I told them I never received any type of bill except the one last year in which I contacted them and tried to settle this. I feel this is not my error and on them as for ten years you don't send a bill? This is not good customer service and Im planning on moving back to the area and feel that due to my loyal patronage this should be waived or fee be brought to a reasonable amount and I be allowed to access my safe deposit box.Desired Settlement: as written above
