I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I take exception to the comment by the contractor that he made every effort to resolve the complaint prior to me contacting the Revdex.com. I will not go into particulars at this time since the matter has been taken care of, but would be more than happy to if asked. I am glad that he has many satisfied customers, and am happy to see that in the end he stepped up

owner, I did everything in my power to satisfy the agreed upon contract between myself and the customer. Despite all of my hard work, in my opinion she simply couldn’t be pleased. In order to resolve this issue and continue on with my honest and professional reputation, I am willing to provide the customer with a full refund. Review: I had Dave P[redacted] do an exterior paint job on my home. Poor prep work, definite residue left on after power wash, uneven appearance of main house shinny and flat area's, powdery feel, when you run your hand over surface it leaves a mark & dirt is adhering to the painted surface at a much quicker rate, looks like it's been 3 or 4 years rather than Oct 2014. Small spots showing thru paint in many areas, mottled, & a lot of spits. Poor coverage on trim around 5 sliding doors, white showing thru, tops not done at all, & calking not done where needed. Area under roof between gutter not painted was told it would not show. Shutters not correct shade, & one was dented, I told Dave when he started painting them I would purchase new paint & he said it would be darker when dry. Side man door no sanding, very rough, if it didn't come off in the power wash it was left on, & when tape was removed it pulled off some of the paint.I tried addressing some of these issues with Dave as the work was being done. I asked him about residue left from power wash, & was told it would be ok. The day he finished masking the house it started to rain, I said you won't be painting today & he said no he was just going to clean up, 30 minuets later I came out and he was painting, I questioned him & he said my eves were big enough & he just wanted to lay some paint on to show me what it would look like. Wind started blowing and rain hit house. I pointed out unevenness in application of main house. He told me it was just drying at a different rate & would not look like that when dry. I spoke with Dave several times, and we were not able to come to a resolution, he feels he did a good job. I had a [redacted] rep come out, he said application was too thin, needs more paint, & the powdery feel probably is from the residue left from power wash, also application in rain could have affected job. Not up to industry standards!Desired Settlement: Normally I would say just have him repaint, but I am concerned about the finish because of the residue, and I don't have much confidence in his word at this point. Ideally I would like my money back and start fresh with someone else, but if that is not feasible I would like everything repainted properly.
