PV Express Care Reviews (2)

Review: I use this place for oil change for about 9 years. One of my cars had a service of oil change the last time on April/16/2013. But today, as July/30/2013 a have checked that may car was making a strange noise on the engine, then a notice that there were no oil on it. Then a stopped at this place to complain, but a was treated with a very disrespect, the employee did not allow me to talk to the owner or the manager. I left the place and stop to a mecanic shop to get some help, then I was told that there were no reason to the engine to be like that unless they have not completed the engine with proper responsability. I have tryied to cantact the company with they represent the oil brand([redacted]), but they told me they can not do anything. The reason of this complain is bucause the mecanic said the engine has been affected and it going to need a repair. And the most dissapointed is that the employee told me " you do not need to came back here anymore". After 9 years filling their pockets that is what a get. Please help me.Desired Settlement: I have no idea what to request, that is why I am asking your help.

RE: ID [redacted]

Dear [redacted],

We recently received your letter concerning the above referenced incident. The customer purchased an oil change on April 16, 2013. He returned to our facility almost 4 months later to say his engine was making a strange noise and there was no oil in his engine. He states that he was unable to speak to the owner or manager. The customer additionally states that he later went to a mechanic who claimed there was no reason for the engine to be like that unless, and I quote the customer "they have not completed the engine with proper responsibility."

While it is unclear what he is referring to, I can certainly attest to the fact that it is universally accepted to recommend oil changes every- three months or 3000 miles as this is a typical driving pattern. Based on the timing of this complaint, it appears that the vehicle owner may in fact have been overdue for what should be regular maintenance.

Additionally, if we had not properly completed an oil change, the results would have been apparent immediately. Cars cannot operate for 3 plus months with no oil. The engine will seize and the vehicle will be undriveable. The may be a problem with the customer's engine but I am confident especially based on the timeframe, that we are not the cause nor reason for his engine

problems.

Perhaps the customer should visit another mechanic who may be more skilled in diagnosing his vehicle problems. Perhaps he has a leaky gasket another problem that causes his car to burn oil quickly.

As the owner of the business, I direct all my employees to deal with, customers respectfully and professionally. I will, as a matter of routine, review' this incident with them. If the customer's perception was that my employee was rude, I will be more than happy to apologize for that.

If you need additional information please contact me.

Regards,

Review: After waiting 20 minutes, I requested a service cost and was told to look at wall chart that stated $44.99. At that time I requested that service. After service the tech [redacted]??? charged me for the upgraded service & insisted that that was what I requested. Along with the unrequested upgarde was a $8.00 charge for an additional qt of oil for a 6 cylinder engine(???) This business has no front counter service personnel or english speaking employees. I have been there 3 months prior with no problems, in fact good service. It may be change in ownership. but people/ customers should not be treated in this manner. I rejected this charge and was told that the computer doesn't lie.

The owner contacted me via phone call and stated that the incident was discussed with the employee. He stated that this was one of the busied day. But does not agree with employee behavior and has instructed him to handle customers more professionally. (customer is always right) . the owner has offered to send a certificate for the service that I had originally requested. The owner was pleasant and apologetic on the phone. Like I stated in original complaint, this is a good business that provides good service from past experiences. The hectic volume may have overwhelmed the employee that day. I am satisfied with the response from the owner.
