Review: I went to this variety store to buy a few Elmer's gluestick. I spent $3.58. I gave the cashier $20.58 and forgot to get my change of $17.00. Literally, I walked out for 20 seconds and ran back into the store to ask them for my change of 17bucks and the cashier girl had the nerve to tell me that "you forgot your change and you are not getting it back. That's not my problem." I spoke to the manager and he said, "don't bother me. This is between you and the cashier." I ended up calling 911. The cops arrived and the staff was not cooperating. They refused to check the register to see if there was an extra 17bucks. They also refused to show the certificate of the store that had their identification number, but with the cops help, I was able to view their certificate which they had hid somewhere. The cops said that unfortunately this is a civil dispute and there is nothing they could do besides file a complaint through this website. I mean how could such business have such dishonest staff and the manager have such bad customer service. I asked to view the hidden videos behind the register to prove that I handed her a 20 dollar bill and they refused. It wasn't the money that I was upset about. It is more about the principle. This is very upsetting and a customer should never be treated like this. They should be sited.Desired Settlement: They should return the 17 bucks with an apology. I highly doubt that they will, since I spent an hour bickering with them. I just hope that others see this complaint so that they will know what can happen if they purchase from this store.
