Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted] , and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because: - [redacted] is not a licensed optometrist and is not qualified to respond to a complaint about a prescription, especially regarding technical issues- Her statement that I was given temporary lenses in a “trial frame” to try out the prescription is false- My complaint was made immediately after I picked up the new glasses, which puts me in compliance with their 60-day time limitI was told to allow time for my eyes to adjust to the new lensesMy work, during this period took me out of town and out of the countryI followed up as soon as I returned but because I followed their instructions to wait, they now claim that I exceeded their time limit- Her overly technical explanation boils down to blaming the issue on a change in my visionHowever, my initial complaint was immediate and is unchanged, which indicates that the initial prescription was incorrect In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above Sincerely, [redacted]

Almost everything [redacted] said is true with a few key details left out. He was refracted on 12/*/15 and had a best corrected acuity of 20/20 in each eye with the new Rx. The doctor allowed [redacted] to try the new Rx. in a trial frame before the new Rx. was issued. [redacted] chose very...

stylish frames and the most expensive technologically advanced lenses available. The glasses were fabricated by one of the best lens laboratories in America. I check all eyeglasses before I dispense them to the patient. [redacted]'s Rx. was exactly the prescription the doctor prescribed for 20/20 vision in each eye. The lens alignments were perfect. Of course there is an adaptation period with a new Rx. Six months later, after an appointment with an Ophthalmologist, [redacted] calls complaining of blur in his right eye. The doctor came in on his day off to refract [redacted]. The entering visual acuity with the glasses purchased six mo nths prior was a blurry 20/30 minus 2 letters right eye, 20/20 left eye. The refraction that day showed a myopic shift in [redacted]'s Rx. A quick exam of his crystalline lens showed significant [redacted] in both eyes. Right worse than left. In addition [redacted] is having great difficulty reading the 20/20 line now. His best corrected acuity in his right eye is now diminished to 20/20 minus two letters due to cataract. Q Optical has a 60 day satisfaction guarantee policy which is prominently posted at my desk. (pretty standard in the industry). If a patient is not satisfied for any reason the glasses will be remade at no charge or a full refund given. If [redacted] was having such a difficult time with his new glasses he should have come in within 60 days and we would have changed his lenses or given him a full refund. Q Optical cannot be responsible for prescription changes six months later due to medical conditions. After 60 days the lens laborat ory charges for lenses and we have to charge the patient. I can understand the Doctor expressing his regret and disappointment in [redacted]'s thinking 50 minutes of his time and expertise was worthless.Carla C[redacted]

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
-   [redacted] is not a licensed optometrist and is not qualified to respond to a complaint about a prescription, especially regarding technical issues.
-   Her statement that I was given temporary lenses in a “trial frame” to try out the prescription is false.
-   My complaint was made immediately after I picked up the new glasses, which puts me in compliance with their 60-day time limit. I was told to allow time for my eyes to adjust to the new lenses. My work, during this period took me out of town and out of the country. I followed up as soon as I returned but because I followed their instructions to wait, they now claim that I exceeded their time limit.
-   Her overly technical explanation boils down to blaming the issue on a change in my vision. However, my initial complaint was immediate and is unchanged, which indicates that the initial prescription was incorrect.
