Q's Moving Corp. Reviews (4)

Helped make an interstate move an easy transition. Final cost was at lower end of estimate given. Crew that handled the move were totally professional and showed great respect for our possessions.

I recently used Q's Moving Corp. to assist me with unloading several items from a PODS container for a long distance move I made from CA to NJ last year summer (my items were in storage for quite a few months). I have only positive things to say about this company, and the team, Hector and Wil, the movers who assisted with unloading the container. Firstly, the team arrived on time, and greeted me warmly. They handled my furniture, and many boxes with care. They made sure all of my furniture pieces were placed properly in each room, and worked efficiently without damaging anything at all. During the process (moving can be very stressful) both gentlemen kept a smile on my face throughout the process by continually making me laugh with lots of fun stories. It truly made for a warm welcome back home to the East Coast.

Also, from the first day that I called the company and spoke to LaToya to arrange the move, I was greeting warmly, and my appointment was scheduled quickly, and efficiently. Also, the staff at the office exuded the same (warmth & professionalism), traits that are truly lacking in customer service today. They also followed up with me throughout the process, prior, and after the move, to make sure things went smoothly. Keep up the great work ladies!

Thank you Q's Moving for your hospitality, and professionalism...it was sincerely appreciated.

I recommend this company highly; they are the best!!!

Q's Moving Corp. was recommended by a friend for our recent move. We had an overall pleasant experience with the employees, both at the office as well as in the field. The staff proved to be professional. The movers took care of our housewares to the best of their ability. In all honesty, an older television was broken during the move, but Q's rushed to rectify it. They called numerous times just to be in touch, and then about our overall satisfaction. In regards to the television, they rushed to "make it right". Again, the staff is courteous, pleasant, quick with the packing and quite fast in trying to solve any issues that may come up. I would recommend, and would use them again without hesitation.

Review: We hired Q's moving corp. for a move that consisted of two apartments to a house. This was made absolutely clear to [redacted] ( [redacted] ) and [redacted] ( his daughter) three times. We were sure to be very informative of the entire process to avoid any problems and make the transition as easy as possible. As someone moving two apartments, you don't want any additional surprises. We made it clear that we would need a large truck given the two apartment situation... [redacted] quoted my girlfriend 6 hours using three movers for the entire job but it ran to nine hours because of slow workers. In return we got a smaller truck that was not adequate for the job and therefore, some furniture was left at my apt. Adding insult to injury, the movers managed to pack all the remaining protective blankets behind the first apartments furniture in the truck. Due to their negligence my $1400.00 Room & Board bed was never wrapped or protected as it should have. This resulted in gashes, scrapes and damage all over the bed. [redacted] is the [redacted] of Q's moving corp. He was very nice when he wanted our business however, he became very hot headed, rude and abrupt when the shortcomings of the services provided were brought to his attention. I had a discussion with him that evening as I was putting the bed together and noticed all the damage. He was definitely not co-operative or professional like he promotes himself and his company. He was talking over me and constantly cutting me off. It was only after I mentioned the Revdex.com that he collected himself and calmed down to offer a small portion of money which I did not accept.Desired Settlement: The price of the bed, $1400.00 Reimbursement for negligence on their part not to wrap the bed in protective blankets and for not providing the service they promote on their site: Inadequate size truck, movers did not protect furniture as stated, all resulting in damaged bed.

Response:

This is in response to the complaint being made. On June [redacted], we moved [redacted], girlfriend of [redacted]. When my movers arrived at the job site location, the customer had already disassembled certain furniture pieces himself. He also gave specific instructions for my movers not to wrap certain items of furniture. After completing the job, [redacted] signed off on the paperwork stating no damages. We were then contacted by [redacted]’s boyfriend, who claimed that there had been damages and that we must reimburse him. After many phone calls with [redacted], [redacted], he explained that we were not responsible for items we did not wrap. (We have the signed paperwork if needed) First, [redacted] offered to send a handyman to try and repair the claimed scratches and [redacted] declined this offer. [redacted] then made an offer of kindness that [redacted] ultimately declined. Over the next few days [redacted] deliberately posted fa lse statements on [redacted] regarding Q’s moving under his name and a fake alias. He also continued to bash [redacted]’s name and company. Q’s moving has long prided itself in the reputation we build with our customers. You can see our positive reviews on [redacted] and [redacted]

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

This is in response to [redacted] reply:

As to why [redacted] is implying that I specifically instructed his crew not to wrap anything is absurd and an obvious lie. There is no way I made such a ridiculous request because his moving crew had already packed away all the necessary blankets in the truck behind the furniture from the first apartment. This would have required unpacking the entire truck in order to retrieve the misplaced blankets. I would also like to see confirmation of my signature specifically requesting "not to wrap certain items of furniture". This makes no sense and not something I would deliberately ever ask for. One would assume that a professional moving company would be well trained to handle such an odd request and at the very least require a clear signature of proof considering the situation and the line of work. As to my girlfriend signing the papers, we were already three hours over [redacted]s quoted time and she was nine months pregnant and extremely tired. She was not going to look through every piece of furniture for damages before signing.

In regards to [redacted]s generous handyman services, the bed was scratched and scraped everywhere! This would have required sanding the entire bed numerous times to smooth out the deep gashes and then staining it multiple times. It would have required a considerable amount of handyman visits, time, and possibly resolve nothing. For these reasons I declined the service. As to [redacted]'s kind offer, this was also declined because it was well shy of reimbursement or replacement and it was [redacted]'s moving crews negligence that was responsible for damaging the bed by not following the company's protocol.

As to the false statements on [redacted], I sent the Better Business Bereau roughly the same review statement (shortened due to size restraints) with a direct link to the site including the truth of my experience with the service. As for bashing [redacted]'s name and company - It is my absolute right as a customer to take action when a company promoting itself one way, changes it's tune the moment it realizes it cannot stand behind the very principle beliefs it promotes itself on and continues to profit off of it's shady business practices at my expense!

This situation all comes down to the negligence of [redacted]'s workers misplacing the necessary blankets and not wrapping or protecting the piece of furniture as required. [redacted] and his company need to own up to their mistakes and reimburse the customer fully for the damages their irresponsibility incurred, thank you.

In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

Sincerely,
