Review: [redacted] refuses to communicate with me regarding a soundclick design he never finished. I paid for a custom design and he gave me previews that looked worse than his premade layouts. He put no effort in at all. How do I know this? Because I am a designer but I do not know how to code soundclicks so that's why I trusted him. Don't let the appearance at the top of Google fool you. He WILL rip you off as he did me. He has not delivered me a layout that I approve and has not installed anything. I ordered the service At the beginning of June and here we are mid-July and nothing. A partial refund would have solved it but in his own words on Paypal "we are not going to attempt to contact you about this anymore". That right there showed that his customer service skills need polishing seeing as though if I never filed a case on him through Paypal, he would have never sent me a email after our last one (Mid June) and kept my money without finishing the project (receiving a design approval and installing the design). Now, I'm taking a number of actions to get my money back and I hope no one has to suffer the same fate as me.Thank you Revdex.com

A refund would restore my faith in him. A partial refund for a non completed service would be better than "we are not going to attempt to contact you about this anymore". Bad Business. Bad.

Initial Business Response

Our policies with refunds are displayed during checkout and are throughout the buyers process in purchasing designs and using our current system I have rarely had complaints so I have yet to change things on our end. This client was actually upset because he wanted extra services for no charge, since he was a returning client (which he did not mention) he felt he should receive a larger discount. We gave him another design (upgrade) from his previous and already applied a discount of $65. Once we sent him the design he wanted a more complex scheme, more elements in the background and also wanted a more 3d logo, all of these upgrades would come out to $110 and that was what we had sent him I believe. He felt he should not have to pay more to get more graphics from our end, that was where the problems existed.

[redacted] then said to just finish the layout and we can upgrade those elements at a later time, which is perfectly ok. We went ahead to installing his design and just before finishing he had contacted his credit card company saying "the card was stolen and he did not purchase anything from us". His hopes were that we would install the design, then he could get his money back.

We installed roughly 75% of this design, then put it on hold due to the chargeback issued on his end. We get all clients shipping address's to protect ourselves from credit card chargebacks like this and we send all design files on a CD via ups to provide a tracking number for records. This gets the clients their designs on a CD for future use instead of relying on us to hold graphics for years or months, and also protects our end so we can still pay our designers, installers etc. without worrying about a chargeback.

Once we contacted his credit card company with those details, they verified that it was the same person who used his Paypal account (in his name) with the credit card linked to it. This is a red flag to paypal and credit companies and is known as a fraudulent move on the buyers end. It usually freezes ones paypal account which it had done to this client.

We still provided him his graphics, we did not finish the installation (since this is a free service anyways) but had given [redacted] what he paid for. After getting rude emails with inappropriate language from [redacted] we had let him know the emails would stop if he continued to threaten us and send us inappropriate emails, he responded with "[redacted] I will speak how I want to". We then marked his email for "spam" and have it automatically be removed from our system.

After this, he opened a dispute with paypal and once we provided design proof and also proof from his credit company they turned his claim down in our favor as well. Two companies already handled this and decided in our favor, we give all clients their designs that they pay for and even gave this gentleman a discount up front as we do with all returning clients. His last design was created over 2 years ago, so I don't see why he says he is a designer, if that were the case his business has been through us for 3 years now and I never got the idea that we were working with another designer.

If paypal and a credit company doesn't decide in his favor and refund his money, that means we provided emails, proof and won the case fairly. I don't see where our company is at fault for anything, if that were the case this client would have been refunded in full, not partial.

Final Consumer Response

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)

The amount of lies in that reponse is staggering so ill knock them out one by one. First, the refund policy IS stated as he said, BUT, no work was actually FINISHED. He sent me two jpeg previews that looked like he took ten mins designing them. I then told him that its not exactly what I'm looking for and that's when he started asking for more money. That sounds like a scam to me. Ill speak more in this later. So after that, nothing happens. Literally. No contact, no final approved product, nothing. They never went to install the design. I know this because I can look at my logins and never saw them log in once. I never told my credit card conpany I lost my card. If your going to run a conpany, you need to learn how to tell the truth. I told them it was a fraudulent charge, which this was. So how does 75% of an installation exist without me seeing it? Because it was never approved therefore it was never installed (which isn't "free" its included in the package)

I never sent that response that he cliamed. "[redacted] ill speak how I want" never happened because he stopped contacting me for an entire month! That's why I had to go to paypal because nothing was done yet I was out $180.

Here's what fraud this man pulled in response to my report on "rip off reports" whicjh is a non profit consumer advocate for ripped off consumers. He offers a service of "music plays" that can make a person rise up the charts on "www.soundclick.com". He then went and created a fake email in my company's name and sent out email blasts from that name. It caught soundclicks atrention and got ne banned for a few days. Once I proved to them that it was him (yahoo tracked his ip and I verified his location and they eventually shut the email down) they reinstated me and apologized. A company who has good business motives and ethics don't make moves like that.

It is true that I did work woth him before, so here is where ill point out his newest lie, that customers recieve all the graphics on a cd. I never got anything other than an installation the first time. No graphics in the mail. But I was happy, I only paid 80 I believe. So how is it that I pay 180, and I get a worse design than the first time (which was premade) and this time I paid for basic custom. Basic custom is supposed to look better than a premade.

He only won the case because there is no way for them to know if I actually received anything. Both my and his infor wasn't enough to overturn the payment. Had nothing to do with "documents he provided"

This guy has gone through extensive legnths just to NOT provide good service. To the extent I had to go through another conpany, paid less and got way better contact and service.

If you're going to create a fake email, do it to someone who doesn't own their own server and wouldn't send emails from a "[redacted]@yahoo.com".

Everything I've been through with this guy shows that he operates under no code of business ethics as he hasn't tried to rectify the situation nor has he even contected me since. His story changes every time. Adding in details that never happened. I'm still going to go through csuner advocacy groups to make sure people know about his fraudulent ways.

Here's how he's at fault. No initiated contact (I had to ask him what's going on every time he went a week without an email). No approved product: he has no email from me appoving anything. No installation of product (which I payed for) it never was installed nor attempted.

So in closing, this guy has repeatedly shown that he can't handle when a transaction goes bad and has decided to do what's best for him instead of both parties. And that was to keep my money and refuse to talk to me (stated also in paypal where he said "we will no longer communicate with you.") A partial refund is he decision of the seller and or "business". He could have said, "look it dodnt work out, here's $50 back because some work was done". But nothing of proper ethics ensued.
