Customer service
My sister sent 3 barrels to Jamaica and was promised an estimated time of 4-6 weeks however it took over 2 months to be delivered. When asked why it took so long the management response was very rude & distasteful I would never recommend anybody to use their business!

I'm extremely disappointed with the level of service offered by this company My two barrels were picked up on May 29, in Canada by Qtrex and shipped to Kingston, Jamaica I was initially told that it would take 2-weeks for my barrels to reach their destination with pickup available after that When I arrived in Jamaica on June 24th I called the Qtrex office in Mississauga, Ontario (Canada) and was told the shipment would be available the following week (which meant the week of June 27th) On Tuesday, June 28th and every day that week I persisted in calling the Mississauga office only to hear that the shipment had arrived, however there were issues with the Jamaican government regarding the transport and stripping of the container During the week of June 28th, I continued calling the office in Canada and Jamaica every day and all I kept hearing was "your barrel will be ready tomorrow" I began to worry that I would not receive the barrels before I had to travel back to Canada I was right to worry because after ongoing daily conversations with Qtrex, I realized that I would not receive the barrel before I left Jamaica Due to the delay and the misinformation provided by the representatives of Qtrex I had to change my return flight to Canada for which I had to incur charges pf $ I extended my stay in Jamaica for an additional week because once again I was informed that my shipment would be available for pickup the week of July 4th I continued calling the office in Canada and Jamaica on a daily basis and all I kept hearing was "your barrel will be ready tomorrow" My final call to the Jamaica office was on July 7th at which time I was informed that they made a mistake and my shipment would not be available until sometime the week of July 11th I then proceeded to contact the Mississauga office to report back on what I was told During that call, I had specifically asked for the representative that I had been speaking with for the last two weeks, and I was informed by the junior representative who answered the phone that neither the representative nor the owner was available to speak with me and that "this was a business" and she could not keep me on hold I strongly believe that they were trying to avoid my calls I say this because I was informed through a few reputable sources in Jamaica that in fact Qtrex was in the process of opening an agency office in Jamaica to receive the shipment and was awaiting approval from the government Upon hearing this information, I became more enraged with this company and decided that I was not going to place anymore calls to them (it was now July 7th) On July 13th, my Dad (who stayed behind in Jamaica to receive the shipment) drove to the wharf and was informed that the barrels would be available for him to pickup if he provided specific documents which had to be notarized by me I became so angry at this point Here again was another delay was not created by me This process for the pickup was plaque with problems I had to write a letter giving authorization for my father to pickup the barrels as I was no longer in the country Along with this letter, I had to provide confidential information such as my passport, drivers license and other documents (which had to be notorized) No one should have to experience these inconveniences or be put through this kind of a process for something that not their fault After providing all this notarized information, paying $13,Jamaican dollars to clear the barrels, and incurring $in Canadian dollars to extend my stay to no avail, I finally received by barrels on Tuesday July 19th All this said, a company that takes peoples money and goods under pretenses should not be in business They were fully aware that their office in Kingston Jamaica was not operational (did not have an agent representing them) however they took my money and goods and made guarantees regarding a delivery that they knew would be plaque with delay issues As for excellent customer service, they are very far from the mark Good customer service demands that you notify your customers of any unnecessary delays They never once called me to give me any update on my shipment knowing full well that they were having issues If you tell a customer a shipment would take 3-weeks, then as a valued customer, you should be calling the customer to apologize for any delay.....I shouldn't be calling you, Qtrex needs to examine how they do business and provide their staff with good customer service training

Pleasant day to you all *** They make promises they cant or are not willing to keep! I was told weeks and of course that never happenedWhen you call their office , they re-direst you to somewhere elseBottom line is they say quality service about times on their website, but in my opinion, the service is mediocreOf course any delays they conveniently blame on customs! I was teased when they called me and told me my barrels were in Trinidad, only to wait another days before I could pick it upThen I was told "paperwork" was not sent from parent company! *** How does a barrel about weeks reach before "paperwork" which is e-mailed??!! *** ***

I'm extremely disappointed with the level of service offered by this company. My two barrels were picked up on May 29, 2016 in Canada by Qtrex and shipped to Kingston, Jamaica.

I was initially told that it would take 2-3 weeks for my barrels to reach their destination with pickup available after that. When I arrived in Jamaica on June 24th I called the Qtrex office in Mississauga, Ontario (Canada) and was told the shipment would be available the following week (which meant the week of June 27th). On Tuesday, June 28th and every day that week I persisted in calling the Mississauga office only to hear that the shipment had arrived, however there were issues with the Jamaican government regarding the transport and stripping of the container. During the week of June 28th, I continued calling the office in Canada and Jamaica every day and all I kept hearing was "your barrel will be ready tomorrow". I began to worry that I would not receive the barrels before I had to travel back to Canada. I was right to worry because after ongoing daily conversations with Qtrex, I realized that I would not receive the barrel before I left Jamaica.

Due to the delay and the misinformation provided by the representatives of Qtrex I had to change my return flight to Canada for which I had to incur charges pf $300. I extended my stay in Jamaica for an additional week because once again I was informed that my shipment would be available for pickup the week of July 4th. I continued calling the office in Canada and Jamaica on a daily basis and all I kept hearing was "your barrel will be ready tomorrow". My final call to the Jamaica office was on July 7th at which time I was informed that they made a mistake and my shipment would not be available until sometime the week of July 11th. I then proceeded to contact the Mississauga office to report back on what I was told. During that call, I had specifically asked for the representative that I had been speaking with for the last two weeks, and I was informed by the junior representative who answered the phone that neither the representative nor the owner was available to speak with me and that "this was a business" and she could not keep me on hold. I strongly believe that they were trying to avoid my calls. I say this because I was informed through a few reputable sources in Jamaica that in fact Qtrex was in the process of opening an agency office in Jamaica to receive the shipment and was awaiting approval from the government.

Upon hearing this information, I became more enraged with this company and decided that I was not going to place anymore calls to them (it was now July 7th). On July 13th, my Dad (who stayed behind in Jamaica to receive the shipment) drove to the wharf and was informed that the barrels would be available for him to pickup if he provided specific documents which had to be notarized by me. I became so angry at this point. Here again was another delay was not created by me. This process for the pickup was plaque with problems. I had to write a letter giving authorization for my father to pickup the barrels as I was no longer in the country. Along with this letter, I had to provide confidential information such as my passport, drivers license and other documents (which had to be notorized). No one should have to experience these inconveniences or be put through this kind of a process for something that not their fault. After providing all this notarized information, paying $13,000 Jamaican dollars to clear the barrels, and incurring $300 in Canadian dollars to extend my stay to no avail, I finally received by barrels on Tuesday July 19th.

All this said, a company that takes peoples money and goods under false pretenses should not be in business. They were fully aware that their office in Kingston Jamaica was not operational (did not have an agent representing them) however they took my money and goods and made guarantees regarding a delivery that they knew would be plaque with delay issues. As for excellent customer service, they are very far from the mark. Good customer service demands that you notify your customers of any unnecessary delays. They never once called me to give me any update on my shipment knowing full well that they were having issues. If you tell a customer a shipment would take 3-4 weeks, then as a valued customer, you should be calling the customer to apologize for any delay.....I shouldn't be calling you,

Qtrex needs to examine how they do business and provide their staff with good customer service training.
