On 8/27/I signed a contract with Titan Sunrooms for the installation of a screen room
This was after a long discussion with them about the high quality if their product, that was achieved because they manufactured everything themselves and the longevity of their product
I was very clear that I wanted a product that would last and would not cause me to have to do a lot of maintenanceI also stated that I did not want to have to worry about the roof leaking where it met the fascia of out home
My husband and I are both getting on in years and I have many medical problemsThis product needs to be easy to take care of
I was told that I could expect all that, and the promise that if anything went wrong with any part ofthe product that was not caused directly by us, that they would repair it free of charge
When I asked what the expected life of the product was, I was told years
We waited weeks for the construction to begin
The workers showed up on the 27th of October and finished on the 30th
It took another days to get the final work done on the screen room
They were having problems with their electrician and it took a while for him to get out and install the fan and light in the screen room
But he took his time and did a nice job of it
Aside from trampling to death a mint plant that I had next to the screen room,( it was rather unavoidable) the construction workers did a good job of not destroying our new lawn and keeping the yard cleanThey were all pleasant and professional
There was much more caulk used to finish this job than I have ever seen on any previous constructionI even commented to them that I thought they were using more caulk than anything else to build it
I tried to make my final payment to the worker who gave me the Invoice at the end of the job
but I was told that I would receive a final bill in the mail
When I did not receive a bill in one week I tried calling the office and could not get any one to answer
I then drove out to the address on their bill and found a strip mall, but not their store front
I finally had to go to their website and write a note in their comment section to find out how to pay my billI mailed it the same day I heard back from themI never did receive a final invoice marked paid
Now we get to the most recent event,
Yesterday, 1/24/as I was coming back into the screen room from our backyard I was greeted by a panel that had completely ripped and peeled off of it's foam backing
The construction of the screen room is a foam block that is encased in what looks like a thin sheeting of vinyl
Upon further inspection two sides of out screen room is now bubbling, popping off and cracked and peeling
SoooTwo months and two weeks after our screen room that is supposed to last years , is installed, it is coming apart and looks awful!
I am not sure if the coating is spayed on, glued on or heat pressed into the foam in some way, but, either it wasn't done properly or it just doesn't last
Right now I feel like a fool for spending so much more than other companies wanted for a screen room based on the promises made by Titan
I called yesterday to report the problems we are having and was called back this morning and told it would be a week before someone could get out here to take a look at it
I have owned two companies in my life time and I can tell you that when we had a problem, it wouldn't wait a week We jumped on problems immediately!
It shows that you are concerned for the customer and want to do everything to make it right
Letting a disappointed customer hang never does your reputation any good!
We will see how this progresses, and I hope that I can write a better review than this in the end
I cannot express how wonderful this experience was for me and my sister. The worker's were friendly, intelligent, cleaned up after themselves, and went out of their way to do little "extra's" (like putting our dogs foot prints in the fresh cement) to make two old ladies happy.
Every one who sees our new sunroom comments on how nice it is and asks who did it for us, so we are happy to tell them about Titan Sunrooms. It was a little expensive for some one on a limited budget, but definitely worth it in the long run.
