Quality Appliance is willing to waive our declared diagnostic charge upon receipt of invoice showing diagnosis and repair from another qualified company

We completed the repair on the dryer on 08/11/At
that time, the customer was advised “Dryer
duct needs to be cleaned out by a
professional and receipt shown for future service”. The customer signed the completed work order
On 09/23/*** *** called requesting service
The Customer Service Rep asked if they were able to provide a copy of the receipt
for the dryer duct cleaning as they had previously been advised*** stated that
he replaced it himselfWe explained that as he is not a professional duct
cleanerWe explained that our original repair on the dryer would be warranted,
but if the duct was still the issue, they would be responsible for a service
chargeHe did not want to pay for anythingIt was reiterated several times
that we will cover our work, unless their failure to have their duct professionally
cleaned was the issue*** did not want to schedule service
Shortly after that, *** *** called threatening
to call the, “if we would not uphold our end of the deal”
The Customer Service Rep explained that we have a signed copy of the technician’s
report where he had noted that the dryer duct needed to be cleaned by a
professional and a receipt provided prior to any additional service*** stated
that they had the duct professionally cleaned but had lost the receiptWhen
the Customer Service Rep mentioned that her husband had just called and stated
that they did not have the duct professionally cleaned and that he had changed
the vent himself, *** became upset saying that she had someone ill in the
family and was not sure what was going on
The Customer Service Rep explained that we will
warranty the work we did including the part, but the duct needs to be
professionally cleanedShe explained that if we were to send our tech out and
the duct is still the issue, there would be a service charge*** said she
wasn’t sure what was done but if we didn’t get the tech back out here with no
charge she would call the
The receipt the customer signed shows that our LIMITED
WARRANTY covers Labor and Parts for daysCharges will apply for additional
or more extensive repairs
We will gladly warranty our work and the part we
installed on the dryer but the dryer will not work correctly until the duct restriction
in the home has been removedThe issue was not with the dryer vent, the issue
was with the duct in the wallThe customer refused to accept liability for a inadequate
duct repair when it was clearly stated on her work order that a professional
dryer duct cleaner would need to do the repair
We made it very clear there would be no additional
charges to come out and check our work unless the duct which was not part of
our repair was still the issueIf the customer was sure that their repair on
the duct was adequate and the problem was really with the repair we did, we are
not sure why they refused to let us come out to warrant our work
We are not able to warrant work unless the customer
allows us to diagnose the issue with the dryerThe customer is unwilling to
accept that the repair *** did may not be adequateWe will not be refunding
the customer
Our resolution: If they are confident the repair *** did is adequate,
let us come out and check our work If
we find our part is defective, we will gladly replace it at no charge. If we find the duct is still restricted then
the customer will need to pay us for sending the tech out to tell them they
still need their duct cleanedIf they have damaged the dryer further by using
it with a restricted duct, they will be responsible for additional or more
extensive repairs per our warranty

I have recently purchased a town home, I thought my dishwasher was broken as it wasn't turning on I was unaware there was a turn off switch on the counter that was turned off accidentally I was charged $to turn the switch to the on position I know some of this is my fault but, really $to turn the switch on I have never had a switch on my counter that was a kill switch for the dishwasher

The work on [redacted]'s washer was completed on September 2, 2014. Our Limited Warranty is 90 days parts and labor. He is well out of the warranty period we provide.
