We hired Quality Auto and Tire in Weed, CA to take the utility bed off of a truck and put a bed on it, and to install all the related parts to the truck bed, rear wiring, and towing We are hobby mechanics so at least we can troubleshoot somebody else's workNot only was the factory tow harness plug deleted as in hacked off- by the mechanic on both sides of the truck wiring...but they connected of the wires of the tow connector and got all of them wrong They also said that the truck's trailer wiring was fried (not true - turns out it was a missing relay) so that's why they connected power from another source, the license lamps (which had been cut too so it didn't work either) they said they tested it and it all worked(not true) It didn't work and we had to return it to be re fixed and after being turned away twice after driving up there on different days...a total of wasted driving miles and two weeks later...they finally worked on it to fix their shoddy work but didn't get it right the second time - and they claimed to have tested it the second time!!! They also didn't hook up the tail lights turn signals and brake lights correctly the first time, probably because they had deleted the harness on there too but they did fix that the second tryWhat broke the camels back is they had replaced the filler neck (where the diesel goes in) from diesel to gas - so now I cant get fuel until I get a new partYou would think this is the work of a backyard mechanic but this is an established business They also forgot to tighten the bolts on the tow hitch which they fixed on the spot but if we hadn't noticed it we would have driven away like thatThey also lost numerous screws and clips, and never removed the old bypass wiring that they installed before and said they would removeWe could have done most of that work ourselves but we paid them to do it because they had a heavy duty hoist - which was needed to take the old utility bed offThey also blame all the wiring problems on the truck on the previous ownerHow can they blame the last owner when they are the mechanics??? They installed a fuel pump which had become disconnected on one of our trips out of town, and resulted in an expensive tow and expensive repairs for a loose wire, not to mention being stranded due to improper connections..also they had hacked off the fuel pump harness off of the trucks computer which caused the check engine light to be on- and also blamed the previous owner for that! I will never take my truck back there to be worked on ever again, because they don't do what they say, they don't test their work, and they blame their mistakes on othersPoor Quality Auto

I am rejecting this response because: I never accusations about the work *** did to my carMy car was overheating and my heater was not working that is the main reason I took it to his shopBefore I took it to Quality Auto I took it to a different shop in Weed, it was there twice they told me they could not figure out what was wrong and I might have better luck taking it somewhere else, So I called *** to see if I had my car towed there would he be able to look at it for me? I told him all the problems with it, which was the over heating and heater not working plus my all wheel drive was disableI had my car towed there from my grandmas house because I could not drive it due to it overheatingIt was towed by Bills Garage and Towing to Quality Auto He told me my intake gasket needed to be replaced that's why it was over heatingMy car was there for a few months because I was doing payments on itOnce I got my car I only had it for twelve hours before it overheated again, that was around 4am on my way to work, I had to call in to work, I called Bills Garage and Towing again, *** did pay for this tow since I didn't even have my car back out of his shop of hoursAfter he looked at it again he said my head gasket was blown, at first he was only going to do one cause it said only one was bad, which would cost $of the partHe said that he would rather replace both to be safe which was $I paid him the money to fix them both, I have a recorded conversation with *** saying he thought his son fixed both but he only did one and that the used head gasket cost him $After he fix my car for the second time, I had it only for one week then it overheated againThis time I had it towed to Rouge Automotive in Medford, After they looked at my car they told me everything that need to be replaced which is everything *** had said he replaceMy intake gasket, the thermostat, and the head gasketI paid in all to *** $$of it was toward the overheating/heater problemFor the job Rouge Automotive did was $Whether he did it for cost of just the part or labor he did not fix my car right, which put it in another shop for the same job to be doneAfter Rouge worked on my car, it never overheated and my heater work the whole week I had it until my motor gave out because it most likely overheated one to many times before it was actually fixed correctlyI was into a four hour drive on my way down south with my children when my car finally gave outI was stuck four hours away from home on the side of the freeway. I am now out of money and now a car

I started to bring my brother with me every time I went into their shop ever since the first time  he  threaten me told me that they would f[redacted] me up, kill me and drag me all over the shop .I filled a police report and stop going he embarrassed me in front of the whole entire shop .he claims that I came to his shop to sell drugs that  so untrue .I know alot of things about him and his family but im not to try to ruin a mans reputation .he stated these allegations because I made police report on him ,he is saying anything to not fix my car or pay my money back .if I sold drugs on or around his property why didnt he  report me.this is  clearly personal  to him which I dont understand because I always paid bill

Revdex.com,[redacted] brought me her buick on 10/7/2013 with a abs light and coolant leak.we replaced the abs bearing and sensor and the intake gasket.pressure tested...

cooling system.it held 15lbs for 10 minutes.abs light off.she took the vehicle.a few days later she called saying it was overheating.(new problem).I paid to have it towed in.feeling bad for her...coolant and compression test failed.number 1 cylinder has low compression.60lbs all other at 120lbs.I told [redacted] she had a cracked head or blown head gasket.est was 1500.00.she told me she could not afford to do both heads or even one.she said she had kids and was in a real bind.feeling sorry for her I told her for the cost of a used head and gasket set,400.00.I would donate labor and fluids and filter est 1100.00.after competion vehicle passed all tests.she took the vihicle.a few weeks later she called and said it overheated and she took it to a shop in medford.I called the shop in medford.they said the head I replaced was fine.there policy required them to do both heads.it clearly states on my invoice that all warrenty work is done at quality auto only.I put the head on for cost of parts only.[redacted] made false statements in her complaint saying she paid for two heads to be installed. coolant system full of stop leak,making it impossible to detect all leaks as stated on invoice.I feel that I more than helped [redacted] and I have no futher liability.

My brother in law took his suv to Quality Auto and tire and more than 300.00 later he ended up taking it elsewhere. I had a Pontiac neon and were told it was a easy fix. He was going to charge us double the price. My husband took it out and replaced the sensor like they said. It was not it. They have shoddy work and it's poor. I would not recommend anyone to them at all.

Lastly, I am not disputing the $500.00 that he charged me for the tires, or the $100.00 for an O2 sensor on the [redacted].  I am disputing all other charges which comes to $2040.00.

I am rejecting this response because: [redacted] did not fix my car properly. If he fix it and the work he did was good I would not have had to have it towed to a different shop a week later for that shop the replace everything he said he fixed. My motor blew due to it overheating too many times. I have proof that what he said he fixed was fixed by another shop that is not a consequences for four of the same things to be replaced twice. Once by him then by Rouge Automotive!

Review: I took my car in to Quality Auto and Tire. My brothers and I on 1/15/16 wanted to have them replace the wheel bearing. The repair didn't work. I took the car back several times for repairs. Each time they told me there was something different wrong. I kept doing what they said, and I kept paying them money, and the car kept getting worse. They kept coming up with new things that were wrong with it. They put 3 sets of socks and struts on it, the wrong ones, and it's riding like a wagon. The correct shocks and struts have been ordered and paid for but Quality Auto won't go pick them up. I called him on the 14th and asked why he hadn't picked up the parts as they had been there for 2 days. He told me he wasn't going to fix my car but didn't give my money back although he had already been paid. And my car is still not fixed. I told him he needed to fix my car and he threatened me several times, and so I filed a police report at that time. The police told me they would file a report but that I needed to take this matter up with the Revdex.com.Desired Settlement: Money paid refunded

[redacted] came to my shop for a wheel bearing that supposably brooks automotive did not repair correctly.we installed a bearing very reasonably priced.a week later,[redacted] said his car was riding rough.we suggested tires since his were wore out.[redacted] paid 661.00 for tires, after a month he decided he wanted michelins.so I ate a set of 661.00 tires.a short time later he said the mercedes dealer said he needed strutts.I ordered strutts and installed them.a week later,he came in and said he wanted billsteins.he gave me part numbers,I ordered them and installed them.a week later [redacted] comes in and told me he wanted billsteins with a mercedes logo on them.I ordered them. while waiting for delivery.[redacted] called and threatenad me.and I found out [redacted] was selling drugs out of his car at my shop.that is why I refused to install the strutts. Review: Please help conduct constituting fraud.

On 29 March 2016 I brought my [redacted] Yukon XL and Cargo Mate 24' trailer to Quality Auto and Tire for needed repair work on both the vehicle and trailer. The Yukon required a set of air shocks and a new compressor for the rear air ride suspension. [redacted] the owner stated that it would cost $2,600.00 for the two rear shocks and a new compressor to fix the Yukon. He went on to say that he could save me a lot of money by putting a shock conversion kit on the vehicle. The cost would be $900.00 for parts and labor. He claimed that the conversion kit would have 4 new shocks and would convert the vehicle from air ride suspension to standard suspension. When I arrived to pick up my vehicle and trailer on 30 March 2016 I discovered that he had only replaced the rear shocks on the Yukon and had not installed a conversion kit as outlined on my receipt. He had not touched the front shocks. When confronted he claimed to not know what I was talking about and stated that the conversion kit only comes with 2 shocks. Further, the rear shocks that he did put on the vehicle were a pair of [redacted] Reflex Shocks which are made for vehicles with standard suspensions. The cost of these shocks from most auto parts stores is approximately $58.00 EA. According to [redacted]a the book time for installation should have been .9 hours. So it should have cost about $250.00 to $300.00 for them not $900.00. Not only did [redacted] put the wrong shocks on my vehicle his negligence made it unsafe for me to continue hauling my trailer.

On 15 April 2016 I took the Yukon and trailer to Shasta County Diesel located in Redding CA, 96002. The following are the technicians notes regarding the work done on my Yukon.

Inspected customer vehicle and found that the rear air ride suspension had been removed and normal shocks were installed. This condition caused the truck to send multiple codes for stabili track, ride control. Also found rear right ABS sensor unplugged, removed shocks and installed factory air ride shocks and compressor system. Cleared codes and checked operation of air system. The total cost of this repair was $925.78.

Additional advisory notes from the technician at Shasta County Diesel: The air ride system on these trucks use the air shock to hold up the truck and the coil spring is used for ride comfort. In order to do the conversion to non air ride a set of progressive rate coil springs need to be installed to keep ride quality and tow capacity. Without the complete conversion it allows the truck to bottom out on the rear suspension and unload the weight off the front tires and causes an unsafe condition for braking and steering.

To recap the work that was done on my Yukon was incomplete, I was overcharged and also, [redacted]'s negligence caused an unsafe driving condition. Note the vehicle and trailer were only there for part of 1 day.

When I confronted Quality Auto and Tire on 15 April 2016 the business refused to give me there insurance information for filing a claim. [redacted] the owner stated that only he could file a claim with his insurance. He did agree to the following in writing:

"Quality Auto will reimburse (my name) $900.00 for rear suspension work and parts, check will be ready on 4/20/16. Check will be certified mail to (my address). Upon receipt of $900.00 check All Liability of Quality Auto will be zero." Signed and dated.

To date I have not received the refund check for the work that Quality Auto and Tire performed on the Yukon.

More alarmingly, The actual total cost of repairs for my vehicle and the trailer was $2,640.00 total of 2 checks one for $2,160.00 and an additional check for $480.00. The $480.00 was for supposed torch work on the leaf spring hold down hardware. I am now being told that the work he did on the trailer suspension with the exception of new tires has to be redone. He installed new Leaf Springs on the trailer and new hold down hardware for the Leaf Springs. However, he did not replace all of the hold down hardware. He only replaced part of the hardware and charged me for it anyway along with the supposed torch work. I obtained an estimate on 5 May 2016 of $1,386.09 for repairing the trailer. Due to the incorrect hardware that was installed the trailer may require 2 new axles. The shop that is doing the repair work on the trailer has agreed to fully document the repair process with pictures and a written explanation of why it has to be done again. From Weed CA to Flagstaff AZ is approximately 1,000 miles.

Please help me in obtaining resolution to these problems.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund for the work that Quality Auto did to my Yukon XL and 24' Cargo Mate trailer in the amount of $2,640.00.

I would advise anyone having car trouble to go somewhere else. This shop is very shady. They gave me the run around about my car for about 6 or 7 months & when they couldn't figure it out they told me not to come back to their shop. One of their mechanics stole personal property I had in the car. The owner told me he would make it right. He didn't. They gave me my car back with a broken windshield, and in worse condition than when I brought it there. I can't drive it at all. The owner told me to take him to court.

Review: I took my Buick Rendezvous into Quality Auto in October 2013. The all wheel drive needed to be fixed, also my car keep overheating and the heater was not working it just blow out cold air. Darrin Harris looked at my car, he said that I needed my abs replaced for the all wheel drive and for the overheating/heater issues it needs a new intake gasket. He replaced these things, also said he put in a thermostat. After I got my car back that night the heater was not working. I picked my car up around pm the next morning around 4:15 the car overheated on my way to work. I had to have it towed back to his shop. After he looked at it again he said that my head gaskets where blown and that he would replace both for the cost of parts only, so I paid for the parts before he even touched my car which took him three weeks to fix afterwards. When my car was finally done, I went to get it, it had a dead battery. They jumped my car he said to drive it for a while to charge it back up. The next morning I had to go buy a brand new battery because when I got home and turned my car off it wouldn't start again, I jumped it and took it to get the battery tested and it was no longer good. The heater would only work when I was driving the car, other wise it was blowing out freezing cold air. I had my car for seven days before it overheated again. That morning my heater did not work at all. I had it towed to another shop when they looked at it they said that I had two blown head gaskets I needed a new thermostat and a new intake gasket Which is everything Darrin said he replaced. The repair shop said that only one of the head gaskets was replaced which I paid for both. The other shop repaired my car, Once I got my car back it did not overheat and my heater worked great. After a week of driving it and a four hour trip my low oil pressure light came on and I had to pull over the car then it lost power. It was towed to a shop, the motor needs to be replaced due to it overheating to many times, andnot being fixed right firstDesired Settlement: I would like the money back that I gave him, I would also like compensation for the other money that was put out towards this vehicle after he said it was fixed. Like the new battery the other shops cost plus the cost of a rental car that I no choice but to get after my motor went out and left me and my three children stranded four hours away from home.
