My name is [redacted] & I live in Plymouth NC & I'm reporting Quality Automotive in Washington NC. Their contact information is [redacted] XXXXX & their phone number is XXXXXXXXXX. I paid down on a 2001 Jeep Cherokee & there were a few issues that I had & one of them were no working signal lights & defrost. I brought it to [redacted]'s attention & he told me not to worry because he would get it fixed before I left & he suggested that we go ahead & get paperwork out of the way. Once paperwork was done he stated, "Bring your truck back Monday & I will fix everything. This was all on August 17. The following Monday, I drove to the office thinking I would get my truck fixed & was told, " [redacted] isn't in & he left no word on you bringing your truck in for repair. I said, "Ma'am, he promised he will fix my truck & I'm riding from Plymouth to Washington with no working signals"! She replied, " honey I don't know what to tell you because [redacted] ain't in & won't be in until tomorrow." The very next day I called & asked for [redacted] & asked him, "When are you going to fix my truck?" He replied, "I don't know, we're busy here". I stated, but you promised me that you would fix my truck & he replied I don't have time, I have paying customers and I replied, I'm a paying customer who have paid you over 1,000 & you promised to fix my truck. He replied, Look lady, I don't have the [redacted] time & he hung up in my ear. I've called his office 3 times already concerning my PAID license plates! My 30 days will be up on the 17. DMV told me the dealership that I purchased the truck from should have them. I keep calling & a man keep answering phone & I've left messages but they won't even return my call & tell me anything about my plates & my 30days are just about up, on the 17. How can I advoid tickets from the police if my 30 day tags expire and Quality Automotive won't give me my plates that I've already paid for????? She did purchase a Jeep however the non-working turn signals were only discovered AFTER the paperwork was complete. We were closing for the day and I informed MS [redacted] "that this was not a warranty issue BUT I would have someone look at it. HOWEVER SHE MUST DROP OFF THE CAR AND LEAVE IT". I further explained that we do not work on ANY ELECTRICAL issues while the customer waits because we have no idea how long it will take to resolve. Ms [redacted] was supposed to schedule a time to drop off the car and we certainly would have attempted to resolve. However she continued to call while I was out of town and one of my technicians attempted to help her due to her repeated calls and demands. Again electrical issues are not covered by our warranty. Granted I understand Ms [redacted] did not want to leave her car and I understand it may be an inconvenience but we are unable to resolve electrical issues without sufficient time to diagnose and repair. At no point have I ever been rude or hung up on Ms [redacted]. However I'm sure she did not agree with out policy of having to leave her vehicle for repairs. She repeatedly asked to schedule an appointment and I repeatedly informed her we do not schedule appointments for electrical repairs. The vehicle must be dropped off and left for any electrical issue. However she continued to call until someone attempted to help her while I was out of town. This complaint is the first I've heard of her dissatisfaction with the repair. I did have a death in the family and was out of town for an extended period. Likely the outcome would have been different if Ms [redacted] had complied with my request to leave the car for the repair. On the issue of tags our policy is customers must come in the office to personally pick up tags. To my knowledge Ms [redacted] has not done so. My records indicate her payment was made via telephone. We do not withhold tags from customers. Bottom line is I'm sorry Ms. [redacted] had an issue. We do our best to resolve them and I feel we went above and beyond to offer a solution even though it wasn't a covered issue. Ms [redacted] has not been willing to leave her car for the repair. I cannot fix and issue if the car is not on our lot. Consumer Response This is a complete lie what this company has stated. The truth to his reply is that he did request that I left the car for a couple of days which I told him I couldn't do that at the time because that was my only transportation to get my son to work. They actually DID give me TWO appointments! The Monday I went in, which [redacted] told me too, they said they didn't have me in system. I spoke with mechanic and he gave me another appointment which he fixed the right signal & said he had paying customer there & he would call me to bring back in, which never happened. [redacted] was indeed rude & hung up on me because I was telling him that he promised to fix at least the signal BEFORE I left shop. My tags expire on 17 & I contacted DMV on Wednesday past & my name WAS NOT even in system for ANY plates. I repeatly call this office concerning my tags but nobody knows ANYTHING.I visited this companies review page & many were speaking on this same situation. I left my experience as well and two days later all was deleted. This is not a good nor honest company and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. The out of town excuse it new to me like many things that were stated in their reply. When I first visited they said [redacted] had "ran out" & I waited 20mins for his return. The second time they said [redacted] had left for the day but would be back the next morning, which he was. I have had conversations with workers here & not once did anyone say [redacted] was out of town. He was ALWAYS there except the day that he left early. Even if he was "out of town" the business was still open and there should be standards. If he had just kept his word this problem wouldn't exist. The police has stopped me THREE times for this truck because my 30 tags don't even have a expiration date which they said was mandatory and I've "repeatedly" called about my TAGS & my PLATES. They always say, "I will tell [redacted] to return your call" which he NEVER do! I'm hurt of the response from this company because he KNOWS majority of what he stated is a lie. Now I know first hand how those other customers felt when I was reading the reviews on this company & I was praying it didn't happen to me but here I am. You can't continue to do people wrong & think[redacted] is pleased!Final Business Response Tags were picked up. We provided an honest response to the accusations from the customer. Again this should not have been an issue since this work was to be done free. Customer has refused to drop off vehicle for repair as stated. My staff did incorrectly attempt to make an appointment for her due to her repeated demands while I was out for death in family. Would never do business with this customer again. I expect potential customers can read the complaint and make and intelligent decision.

I went to have a U-Joint repaced on my truck and I had the part, the owner stated it would only take on hour and 60 dollars to repair the truck. The owner called and said the truck was repair and it would now cost 140 dollars which was three time the cost that he quoted me. I complained to him and his attitude was that if we don't pay this amount that we were not to have the truck until we paid the 140. This guy had an attitude problem and he was very unprofessional. We ended up having to go to the bank to get it,in order to get our truck back and at the same time taking food out of our family's mouth(food money for the week). After having a problem with this business we found out that we were not the only ones to have had been treated badly by this owner.Product_Or_Service: Auto repair Order_Number: 0Account_Number: contract was for 60Desired Settlement The owner should have only charged us 60 dollars and should return the rest of our money that was over charged to us.Business Response Customer called stating he had tried to remove U-joint and couldn't due to rust. Asked if we could get it done THAT afternoon and requested estimate. Informed him we didn't know what it would cost. It depended on how long it took us but would be a minimum of $65. The job required heat and torch to remove rusted u-joint. Job took slightly more than two hours and was $140. We dropped everything to get this job done for customer. When customer returned to pick up vehicle he tried to negotiate price of repair. Customer had already attempted repair himself and knew it was not standard u-joint removal. When we refused to lower cost of repair customer threatened report to Revdex.com. As a business owner there was no way to please this customer short of caving in to his demands. We provide a quality service at a VERY reasonable price. Respectfully request this customer complaint be removed. At the very least potential customers should try our service for themselves.
