To whom it may concern: In response to the reply from [redacted] ***, I have no record at either location of ever having cleaned these drapes beforeAnd the only time she did we did not charge her That also includes the times we repressed this panel, to satisfy her.Yes there are more ways to make a curtain than the way she was shown, but you do not sew a cotton lining into silk at the hem and expect both to lay flat after being professionally cleaned Again we have no record of cleaning any panels for [redacted] ***, other than this time $is .what we charge for one panel She complained right away resulting in the ticket going into redo, nocharge We have records indicating previous redo on other garments for this same customer Shehas always been difficult to please The other attendent is a very part time employee who rarely works at the counter and normally does only the wedding dress boxing She has no idea how dry cleaning is done or the extent of work needed to do dry cleaning The other half of the altered panel was not brought in for d.c., as a rule of thumb both pieces should be done together just like a piece suit The silk panel was dry cleaned, just like the other dry cleaner told her, because silk should neverbe laundered Dry cleaning is an all inclusive system which cleans and dries in one cycle MinnesotaEnvironmental Agency regulates the use of cleaning products used for dry cleaning and therefor cannot be aired dried as suggested by the other cleaner There are not crinkles all over the entire curtainit has been repressed times, by a professionalpresser of plus years We also researched this Dupinoni curtain on Pottery Barn web site It is made exclusively for either with grommets or rings and clips It was not intended to be put on a pole after being hemmed over I am very sorry she left unhappy and there was no way to appease her This being said, I standsteadfast on our reputation of plus years quality dry cleaning and hundreds of very happy returncustomersSincerelyPatty [redacted] G.MQuality Cleaners

I am rejecting this response because: I reject the business response for the following reasons that were not addressed: This dupioni silk curtain was dry cleaned nicely by this business two times before. It did not need to be taken apart to get between the lining and silk when it was dry cleaned before So explain how “due to the construction and the alteration done by 3rd party Linda could not get between the lining and silk.” This curtain was made by the Pottery Barn and only one side had been sewn by a seamstress There are more ways to make a curtain than the one I was shown by Linda Explain why I was charged more than $the first time you dry cleaned the curtain and this time $8.99? This leads me to believe what the other attendant had told me the second time I was there to pick up the curtain - that it was laundered, not dry-cleaned Explain why the curtain is now about inches shorter than the other identical curtain Explain why the cotton lining has shrunkThis curtain should not have shrunk at all if it was dry cleaned properly and not laundered and/or dried in a dryer Explain why there are crinkles over the entire curtain. I spoke with a manager at another dry cleaning business and she thinks maybe there were swirls of the solvent left after the dry cleaning and that they dried the curtain in a dryer, not hung up to air dry I showed a seamstress who works with silk my two curtains and she could not believe how badly damaged the silk was I took my curtain in to be dry cleaned and was shocked to see what they did to my curtainIt was an insult to be told that all I went in there for was to complain I doubt that they would accept such damaged goods Even Linda and the second attendant I talked with had agreed someone did a bad job I know people make mistakes and someone did not intentionally ruin my curtain But as a dry-cleaning business, someone made a terrible mistake and the business should admit it and be accountable for this They must replace the damaged curtain at the cost I indicated in the initial report, which does not include all the time i've spent driving back and forth to the business, dealing with this matter, and eventually getting another curtain made Has the owner seen the photographs of the ruined curtain and the twin curtain in perfect condition? Please have him read this responseThank you

October 28, 2016 In response to the complaint made by *** ***, as a company that has been for plusyears we take great pride in our customer service and our reputation. We tried to work with her the following is everything we have done to
satisfy her. She brought in panel in on September 8th. It was a 1/of a silk panel. She had it split to cover sidelights and also shortened. This was altered by a 3rd party. When she picked up after cleaningshe was immediately dissatisfied with pressing. She requested a repress, it came back repressed,and again she was not happy. At that time it was pressed by Linda at Waite Park but due to the construction and the alteration done by 3rd party Linda could not get between the lining and silk. She again was unhappy when she came in to pick up on October 5. Linda at that time told whywe could not press because the lining and hem were sewn into the silk by 3rd party Linda offered at that time to fix correctlyShe then said it had not been altered, when she already told us it had.Linda then offered to fix both panels correctly and showed how panels should be done by example of another customers panel. Linda has been sewing and does all alteration for Quality Cleaners foryears here and years of experience in sewing. She refused Linda's help. She was here over minutes and was verbally abusive to Linda in particular. She took her panel and left. *** *** is no longer allowed to do business with us due to the total disrespect she showed throughout this entire ordeal. There is a lot of little details of what was said and how it was saidby her. that we don't have room for. It does say Quality on our buildings and for over years that is what we are known for and take pride in. This really is a shame that she could not be reasonable and let us fix.
