Quality Cleaners

I dropped off my wedding dress at Quality Cleaners on 5***, ***, *** to be cleaned and preserved. Quality Cleaners had ruined my $1,000+ wedding dress.To start- I paid $250.00 to have the dress cleaned & preserved-(normal amount to perverse a dress) When I walked in *** the manager couldn’t find my dress and acted as if I “over paid” for this service making jokes about the $250.00. I then realized the dress hadn’t been preserved at all and was barely cleaned. He asked me to come back in a few days so he could fix it. At this moment I wish I would have walked out of this nightmare with my dress still intact. Not only did he do a poor job cleaning the dress, he decided to use HEAVY DUTY STAPLES (not paper staples) to staple my wedding dress to a piece of cardboard and to other parts of my dress in a box that was not airtight. My dress now has 50+ holes in it from large metal safety pins and about 30+ heavy duty staples that I am not able to remove myself. Over the years the staples and metal safety pins will rust on my once in a lifetime wedding dress. Lastly, when preserving a wedding dress the company is supposed to use acid free paper to stuff the dress, they used their own paper that had their logo on it. Over the years the colorful paper would have leaked on my dress. When confronting the Manager *** and asking for a full refund of $250.00, he acted as if nothing he did was wrong as he was the one who boxed the dress. He said the dress was to “small” for the box so he had to use staples to keep it in place. When I asked him why he didn’t buy a smaller box as I’m sure there are plenty of 5’1 brides out there he had nothing to say. I told him I had called 7 cleaners in *** and 1 out of state asking how their companies preserve wedding dresses and each one was absolutely appalled that Quality Cleaners thought it was “OK” to staple a wedding dress to cardboard and to my dress. He told me this was my problem and to leave my number and the owner may call me.
