ID#12873213 05/31/QUALITY COLLISION CENTER *** *** *** FONTANA, CA COMPLAINT: REPAIR ISSUE Revdex.com: Customer brought truck into our facility for an alignment inspection on 4/17/Our procedure when it comes to alignment issues is to physically inspect for damage due to wear and tearOur first step is to take customers information and have the technician inspect suspension from front to rearThis includes lifting the front axle of the tractor and physically checking for excessive playWe then check the drive lines for play in the bearings, and finally inspecting the rear tandem axles as wellMy technician will then provide a hand-written inspection report with his findingsThe customer is then taken to the truck and made aware of the damaged items, (if any)In this case we did find that the customers drag link assembly and left and right tie rod ends were damagedThe customer was given an estimate and he approved for repairsThe truck is then repaired based on the estimate providedOnce parts have been replaced the truck is aligned on our computerized laser alignment machineI provide a printout of the trucks results before being aligned and after alignment is completeAttached please find all documents pertaining to this caseIn sequential order you will find the repair estimate and findings for repair on page#After the assessment is done we provide and estimate to the customer page #in which he agrees to get repairs done or declinesThe customer agreed to move forward with repairsPage #is the repairs authorization form which customer signed to commence repairsPage #is a copy of the work that is being performedPage #is the final invoice of repairs which did not differ from the original estimated costPage #is the signed credit card receipt charges for repairs performedPage#is the alignment readouts showing the trucks negative readings before staring the alignment and results of the adjustment made to correct the customers initial issuePage#is a copy of parts invoices showing original parts were used as specified on invoiceAlignments on all vehicles are not warrantied due to that fact that we cannot control driver habits, this consists of roads conditions, driver errors, etcHowever here at my repair facility I like to offer all my customers a worry free re inspection after miles in which I reinspect trucks and ensure that the alignment has not been effected due to road conditions or driver habitsIf the alignment needs adjustment at that point we re-adjust it at no chargeThe customer did bring his unit back 5/8/(page#14) that day we did do an adjustment at no chargeThe readouts shown on this particular day indicated that the truck had either been hit hard on the front axle, been overloaded, had been hitting potholes or jumping curbsThere is absolutely no way the truck did not experience any of the above mentionedThe truck was corrected, and the customer was not chargedOn 7/14/three months after initial work has been done, about two months after readjustment the customer called to let me know he had taken his truck to another truck shop and I needed to cover his cost for alignment due to the fact the second shop found his alignment out of adjustmentI asked if he could bring the unit to my facility to recheck the truck and he declined to do so until they inspected itHe called back later that afternoon and confirmed parts were not damaged, but his alignment was out of adjustmentI explained to him that alignments are not warrantied and if he had an issue it should have been brought back for a reinspection, at that time customer explained he has been busy and simply did not have timeIf an alignment is neglected it will cause wear on tire especially over the span of more than daysI am contesting this complaint and am providing proper documentation, proving my services were completed and the consumer is providing informationIf you should have any questions, please feel free to contact our facility at any time Respectfully, *** *** Quality Collision Center ###-###-####
