Obtained and accepted $1350 quote for the following:

1} run new bath fan ducting & vent to outside and weatherize
2) run new kitchen ducting for hood to outside and weatherize
3) hook up gas line to cooktop in kitchen off gas line in basement
4) hardwire upstairs and downstairs thermostats

Ducting for hood and bath fan were quoted at $350 per fixture/each. Gas line and thermostats rounded out the $1350 agreed upon price.

When running the duct for the bath, gentleman cut through a floor joist instead of properly running the duct. I had to fix joist with scabbing in order to pass building inspection and eventually I ran the duct properly myself. Moreover, gentleman ran the duct into the attic and not outside with weatherization. Gentleman opted to return at later date to finish this and the rest of the job while also requesting some money ahead of time to which I agreed. I paid $800 of $1350 quote at his request.

Contacted 5/13/16 and scheduled gentleman to return on 5/25/16th to complete abovementioned list. This was done more than a week in advance so that I could take off work and be available. Contacted gentleman to confirm his arrival the night before and he informed me that he was no longer interested in doing the work for me and that he was covered up. My advanced scheduling and time taken off work were not taken into consideration. How does one schedule another party the night before? You can't.

Did not offer to return any money.

I paid $800 and not one item on said list was completed. I understand it was a small job, but it's my home and it is important to me and my family. I have diligently saved all correspondence and also have photos to illustrate structural damage in the event of any disputes. I will gladly provide.

I urge all parties to obtain contracts in writing with Quality Comfort. Live and learn.

Quality Comfort arrived on time, diagnosed my HVAC issue, gave me a quote right away. They then returned after ordering the part, and installed all with excellent service.
