First, I would like to say, that the customer brought in two desktop computers, there is a $estimate fee on each computer. Customer didn't have the funds when she came in so we were allowingher to pay that at pick up. If repaired the estimate fee is within the repair total.
One of the desktops had a bad motherboard, explained this to the customer, not economical to repair. The 2nd computerneed a power supply and customer also ask us to check her DVD Drive. We called customer with with the repairs and she approved the one with the power supply for $105.00, have to get power to thecomputer before we can check her drive. Tried calling the customer back that night to let her know her DVD/Drive was bad and that we had a good used one for an additional $15.00. Amber couldn'treach the customer. Customer comes in the next day and I explained about her DVD/Drive and that it would be an additional $for the drive if she wanted it for a total on that repair of $120.00.She approved, the DVD/Drive was in the desktop, because we felt like it was a good deal, if she didn't approve it there would be no problem, Joey could remove it and put her bad one back in hercomputer. No need in doing double work if not necessary. As I am explaining her bill she gets rude, I politely ask her not to be rude. She went off. She says my clerk told her $115.00. I have no ideawhere that came from because it was $and then the DVD for additional $for $120.00, she said I can do that. She wasn't forced to keep the drive, she was fine until I mentioned that sheowed the $on the desktop we checked out that had bad motherboard. She was throwing out the F word several times, I said okay and I wasn't going to charge her for the $because shestarted almost crying stating her husband had sent her just enough funds to take care of what she thought she owed. If that were true how did she approve the additional $15.00? Anyway, went onshe got so nasty I said okay, so I went to get her bad motherboard computer and take it to her and as I was doing so, she says I just want to pay my bill and go. While I am back there trying to gether first computer, she was looking at my husband saying I just want to get my computer. She had already been so ugly and crazy acting, my husband had to raise his voice at her to hush. While Iwas trying to get her computer she called me a Stupid Cow, my daughter corrected her and said you won't talk to my mom like that. I immediately got my son to remove the new power supplyand the good used DVD/Drive. She is really throwing it out there now. I told her you are not coming into my shop and disrespecting us like this and think that I am doing business with you. She was running her mouth constantly and loudly I might say. While Joey was removing the power supply and DVD/Drive, my husband Bobby was taking her other deskop out to her vehicle for her, I told her I neededfor her to sign it out. She looked at me like I was crazy, turned and walked out the door. I told her she has to sign it out. I told my daughter to call the police, at this time she was making me angry.I didn't realize Joedi had called them so when she walked out I called them. I apologized to them letting them know I didn't realize my daughter had called. I am quite sure that they could tell I wasmad. I actually think they heard the remainder because when the police got there they said one of us hadn't hung the phone up. We have problems with our front phone, you have to hit the offbutton a certain way. Anyway, she goes out and goes to her vehicle which was about foot I guess and I heard her screaming at someone. Everyone could hear her. I found out later that she hadalso called the law, after we did. About that time the police come in and she comes behind him. I explained to the first office, 2nd one right behind him, ended up with officers there. I explained toOfficer ***s what had happened and she kept running her mouth he ask her to hush, she kept on and he repeated and ask her to hush. He could clearly see what type person she was. Everyonethat come through there got a first hand view of her. I explained further to him, that I wasn't charging her the $estimate fees she owed, that we removed her parts and that I just wanted herto sign for her computers and leave and that she wasn't welcomed in my business any longer. She signed, we lost money on this job. The time spent checking the items out, making calls to her etc.She got two free estimates. She knows what is wrong with both computers. She states that I tore her stuff out of her computer in a rage. I didn't remove anything from her computer. My son, Joeythe technician removed her parts and brought the computer to us to give to her. He didn't hook her bad power supply back up because it doesn't work and where ever she takes it is just going to haveto unplug it anyway. There are so many cords on these power supplies that most of them don't even connect to something. They are made to work for many computers with different hook ups.If she takes it and has a power supply and DVD/Drive put in and it doesn't work then we need to check into her ethics. Because we have done nothing to mess up her computers. The reviews shebrought up, I know the situation with both of them and I see she didn't bother to tell my side of the stories. She mentions that they were African American, I am not sure what that has to do withanything. She is a White. In years that is what she is able to come up with I feel pretty flattered. She kept trying to get me to call her names, I told her I have to answer The Man Above and shesays you want to. The family was in agreement if we hadn't removed our parts the way this customer was acting she would have probably damaged the computers and said we did it or something.My son and husband were the ones that checked her in the previous day and they were surprised with her actions. She must have acted odd to them at check in. I have no intentions of payingfor her repairs to have work done. I have lost $worth of work and she is the first time I have had to call the law that I can remember. I have had people come back in and ask me if I needed a witness to let them know. I had all of this written out earlier and apparently it didn't save it. This is quick and I hope I have covered everything. I have a business to run and I need customersto do so. I realize one bad thing goes a lot further than good. I don't have to be treated like this customer treated me immediately. If she had a bad day or something I hate it, but it was nothingto do with me, that caused her to act like she did. Thanks!
