Quality Homes NY Statement On August **, 2017, Garret M***, a representative from Quality Homes NY provided *** & *** *** with an estimate to complete the re-siding of their residential house in Ronkonkoma, New York for the fee of $11,Once the proposal was signed by both
parties, a down payment check was requested from *** & *** *** in the amount of $4,which was paid via personal check. On September *** 2017, a project manager from our company, spoke to ***/*** *** regarding some concerns/issues with the current contractThe main issue being the measurements Garrett calculated were under measuredDue to this fact the *** met with Garett M*** again to discuss the changesOn September ***, the re-write of the contract was discussed with the correct measurements which changed the original pricing of the contract from $11,to $20,In addition, it does state in the contract that if a change of price occurs due to the measurement being incorrect, Quality Homes NY reserves the right to cancel the jobAlthough, *** M*** grossly under measured the job we wanted to provide *** and *** *** with a new quoteAt this time Quality Homes NY, a customer service based company gave ***/*** *** the option to void the contract and receive their deposit back or to continue with the new contractThe customer stated the second proposal was not given in the same format as the original one which is falseQuality Homes NY uses the same program for each and every customer proposalThe second proposal was put in as a change order to the original proposal which is how our system worksIn addition, *** & *** *** asked Garrett for the night to think about which he cordially replied “absolutely” *** & *** *** chose to cancel their contract rather than continue to render our servicesOn September ***, *** & *** *** called into our customer service department in order to request a refund for their down payment in the amount of $and spoke to Maria one of our telephone representatives who forwarded the call to the finance department of Quality Homes NY where R *** our finance representative was out of the officeOn September ***, R *** was transferred a call from *** *** *** where she kindly requested a copy of the cashed check along with the bank copy for Quality Homes to be able to issue the refund on her behalf. Once the check was received from *** & *** *** she kindly requested that *** *** provide her with the original check copy along with the bank statement showing that the check was cashed which we receivedOn Thursday, September *** the refund check was returned to *** & *** ***We are unsure why this long winded and way overblown statement to the Revdex.com situation occurred considering we refunded the money in a fair and timely mannerThe most disturbing fact of this whole situation is that a detective showed up at Garett M***’s home when he is just an employee of Quality Homes NY and that police detective should have came to the Quality Homes NY office insteadMore importantly, this was a gross misuse of resources on *** *** and the police detective’s partThis should be investigated further because upon contact with *** Rawley he refused to provide proof of any casework or paperwork being filed

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

We have reviewed the response and have noted a few discrepancies.  Primarily, it is [redacted] and Stephanie N[redacted]; we do not share the same last name and it has been brought to the attention of the business numerous times.  This is mostly important because the deposit check was generated by Stephanie N[redacted], not [redacted].  The $4000 check that was cashed by Quality Homes had the issuer's name listed as: Stephanie N[redacted].  When we contacted the business, repeatedly, to recover the $4000 check they continually stated that they had no record of such.  Moreover, we never received any return calls until we finally placed a final call and a male employee left a voicemail.  He again stated that they have no record of a $4000 check deposit from Stephanie N[redacted].  Following this we sent a receipt from Stephanie N[redacted]'s bank proving that someone cashed the $4000 check that Stephanie N[redacted] gave Garrett M[redacted] on or about August **, 2017.  Even after sending this we were told that Quality Homes had no record of such and it appeared that criminality at some level may be afoot. Thus, Stephanie N[redacted] filed a police report with the Suffolk County Police Department reference report number [redacted].  It was not until days after such report was filed by Stephanie N[redacted] that Quality Homes agreed to finally furnish the $4000.00 refund.  We acknowledge that as of this writing we have received a $4000.00 refund but still feel that the above written response from Quality Homes was inaccurate to say the least. Furthermore, we also feel that the manner in which this situation was handled by them was unprofessional and not within the standards that a company who prides themselves as being a "customer service oriented" business should operate.
