In response to the complaint that Mr. [redacted] had concerning our office. I just wanted to start off by saying that when Mr. [redacted] first contacted us...
it was by email and in the email he said that he wanted us to only talk to him through email, so he then asked through email that we send him a refund check for the money that he paid on a service in advance. Before I go any further I would also like to note that we do not and I repeat, do not make patients pay for future services unless that service is being done on that specific day that the patient is in our office, but if a patient wants to pay in advance for a service that they want to have done in the future (like Mr. [redacted] wanted to do then) then we do not stop them if that's what they want to do. Moving on, I then sent a email to the patient seeing if he would like to come into our office to pick up the refund or if he would like for us to mail the refund to him, the patient then stated that he would like for us to mail it, and I did on Thursday February 12,2015. On Tuesday February 17,2015 Mr. [redacted] gave me a call stating that he had not received his check and that he thinks that the reason why is because, the neighborhood that he lives in they steal mail so he stated that he was pretty sure that the check just may be stolen, before I go any further keep in mind that Monday February 16, 2015 was a Holiday so the mail does not run. Next the patient then got rude with me and tells me that I wouldn't like him when he's angry and starts to threaten me when I told him that I would have talk to our accountant to see what we can do about resolving this matter, but the patient kept insisting that I write him another check for him to come and pick up. After more ranting he then hung up and called back later and I explained to him what our accountant told me and that was to give the check a week and if it's not there in a week then to give us a call and we will cancel that check and a couple days after canceling the check we will write him another check because, if anyone has ever canceled a check before they know that it takes time for the cancelation of a check to go through and on top of that there is a cancelation fee, Mr. [redacted] seemed okay with that and I thought that he would give us a call in a week, but he didn't. Mr. [redacted] then called me back the next day Wednesday February 18, 2015 and the next day Thursday February 19,2015 to let me know that he still hasn't received his check and that it has been a week and also that if we don't write him a check to come in and pick up then he was going to then report us for being fraudulent to The Revdex.com, Channel 8 and the attorney general, I then told the patient that it had not been a complete week because you have to include the holiday that just past on Monday and the mail doesn't run on a holiday. To sum everything up, Mr. [redacted] requested that we mail the refund check to him and when we did and he didn't get it in the time that he wanted it he then did not want to comply to the steps that needed to be taken so that he could come and pick up his check. We as an office and complete staff did not and do not have a problem giving back to the patient there money if they over pay. If you would like me to send the emails of communication to prove that the patient wanted the check mailed I do have those as well.
