work that was needed and doneWe were hired July 15th, we showed up on the 2nd week of SeptemberThe job was evaluated in July and we had a lot of rain in August and SeptemberI only looked at the basement at the time (July)When I got there in September, the basement was in the same condition but worse on one side (corner)As looking around outside, you could see where gutters were coming off of the house and nails were coming outLooking further, front and back gutters as well as roof showed ice damage from winter, which both *** *** *** *** confirmedThere was a lot of iceI told her her year old layer roof had no ice+H2o shield, problems with roof (see pictures)Wood was wet along the bottom and fascia boards were wet, even in September from rain and overflow, you could see where it was running down siding and some siding was loose from winter iceI explained and wrote down that if this was my house this is how I would fix it, take some money from basement (I was the lowest bid) and put towards roof and I'll try to fix bothIt will work out better if I just did basement, still all problems on told and mold on insulationSee pictures before, during and after (she has over pictures)The job stopped and they agreed we came back the next day and started roofThere was mood on wood, no vapor barrier on attic ceiling, more moldFascia rott- mold a lot of damage on top, extra charges if wanted fixedWe thought again and I always just tell people I'm showing and explaining whats wrong you don't have to fix itI would just write down and keep pictures incase down the road something happened, I don't want any problemsI suggested they call the insurance company, they did and were denied and are mad at meShe had us fix everything except attic (see invoices) she was happy when we leftI am sorry she's upset but I think she was told something that's not true and is taking it too far, as she has all the proofHer roof is fixed perfectly on main and her basement will not leak where we fixedAll work was itemized and now when winter comes she will have no problems there eitherShe denied us repairing insulation in atticSee invoice I wrote down everything before, during and after. October 13, 2015Revdex.comAttn: [redacted]Re: Complaint #[redacted]Today I received Mr. G[redacted] reply to my complaint.First, he does not address the matter of false advertising his membership in NAHB and NARI.Second, would you not react...not overreact to a bill that was $5,984 over the original quote? Excavation quote of $5500 increased by $750 for removal/replacement of onecinderblock-really!Roof quote of $5220 increased by$5221-really!Third, he is now threatening me for cost of dumpster $380. When I advised him that I thought this should also be included in price of roof, he stated,"that's not how it is done in thebusiness."See enclosed bill from prior roof work....everthing was included! Fourth, I had absolutely zero water damage in any ceiling in my house which you would expect to see if there was so much damage...if anything, according to Mr. Geer's reply, I needednew gutters not a new roof. Sincerely,[redacted] I see "bait and switch"!
