Quality Inn Seaford

Review: I checked in on Sunday July 13th and was supposed to check out Wednesday July 16th. On the first night there I woke up around 6am with bite marks all over my arm and on my face and so did my 11 yr old daughter. We went to the lobby and let the gentleman know that was working that day and asked to be placed in another room. I didn't know what it was from. The bites started out small...later at work they began to itch and burn. I purchased creams. We were originally in room 120. When I made the complaint we were moved to room 235. We did stay there again that night, I figured another room would be ok. We were awaken at 4am. My daughter woke up and screamed something was on her. I got up and lifted the blankets and we found a bed bug on the bed sheet. I took a video of it and I also took pictures of the lumps that they left. I went back to the lobby and requested a refund and told them I did not want to finish out my stay. I checked out a day early after paying for 3 days. I was not satisfied with my stay and the whole time plus days after we are itching. I also had to leave work early2 days due to this. for the bites on the first day and the bites on the 2nd. They are embarrassing lumps and I was constantly scratching at work.Desired Settlement: I spoke to the person that was working the front desk. He stated that I would be refunded once I asked and said I was checking out and did not want to be placed in another room. I also asked to speak to the manager 2 days in a row and both days was told he was not in. I want to make them aware of the situation and hopefully they take care of this issue.

Review: We made a reservation for two rooms over the phone. The confirmation email stated smoking rooms. We called back and they said that would be changed because we had children. We checked in and there was one employee working. A young woman who could not have been any ruder. She seemed annoyed at having to check us in. We went to our rooms and the smell of cigarette smoke knocked us over. There was a dirty ash tray on the desk, the bed linens had cigarette burn holes, and the bathrooms were not cleaned. The bathroom floors and tubs had so much dirt from over the years that it was unsafe for me to put my children in the tub or let them touch the floor. We went to the front desk to complain about the rooms. The woman could not have cared less. She told us we were unable to switch out of the smoking room because that is what we booked. She stated she had never been in the rooms so she didnt know what the quality was. Since she had no desire to help us with our concerns and there was no staff to help her we told her we would be checking out. She could not have cared less. She told us she could not give us a refund because we booked through expedia. That doesnt make sense since the problem is with the unsanitary conditions of the Quality Inn not with Expedia.Desired Settlement: We did not stay in the rooms because they were absolutely unsanitary. We checked out immediately upon seeing them. There was no staff manager or anyone other than the front desk receptionist who could help us in anyway. There was no maintance staff that could clean the rooms. It was truly amazing this woman was by herself. I want a full refund of the two rooms I booked because I had to go across the street and stay at the Holiday Inn.
