I am in receipt of your letter regarding a complaint filed by [redacted]. The following ismy response.Ms. [redacted] indicated that she was selling her home and now needed to have shinglesreplaced that we installed four years ago. Quality Roof provided a 5 year warranty on thereplacement of...

plywood and shingles and felt that were causing a leak at that time. The warrantyis for any re-occurrence of the leak and not the color of the shingles.No roofer will provide a color warranty because shingles age and are constantly changing. If therewas a problem with the color of the shingles Ms. [redacted] should have notified us within areasonable time (usually within the first year) and we would have made a correction.She indicated that she lost our phone number but located it right away after our negative phonecalls.I indicated to Ms. [redacted] that there would be a cost to replace the shingles and she becameargumentative. After a number of call where we could not resolve the issue, I notified her that Iwould not accept any further calls from her because of her aggressive nature.My offer still stands. We will replace the affected shingles for an adjusted cost of $125.00. Ournormal cost for any roof repair is $250.00.
