I received a call from Mr [redacted] last Tuesday, May 31. I told him I would swing by and look at his porch to ascertain what needed to be done to correct it. I received notification from the BBB the very next day that he had filed a complaint. Needless to say I am very upset at not being allowed to... correct the situation without involving the BBB. The house in question is a foreclosure picked up by Mr [redacted] . It had several existing problems...a leak that he thought was the roof but turned out to be a plumbing issue. A tarp covering a portion of the roof. And a front porch roof that is still not attached to his house. The porch trusses don't extend far enough to properly attach to the front of the house. My representative, [redacted] ***, and [redacted] , owner of [redacted] Windows and Doors, met with Mr [redacted] and discussed the porch issue. It requires proper mud jacking and extensive carpentry to be done properly. Mr [redacted] claims to have had a mud jacking company do some work already. I would like to see any estimates or receipts of the work completed by that company. I would also like to see the pictures he has from the insurance company showing the gray roof before we installed the new black roof to see if there are any noticeable differences as he claims. Mr [redacted] decided against using the services of [redacted] Windows and Doors so I guess he is going to have to hire another carpentry company to secure the porch to the front of the house. I can't fix the dip in the roof because the trusses aren't fastened to the front of the house. As a matter of fact the dip will probably be corrected once the trusses are properly secured. If the dip isn't fixed then I will immediately send my roofing crew out to correct the problem. I have attached a photo that was taken yesterday showing the gap still caused by the front porch not being attached (which is the problem that need to be corrected, which will, in turn correct the subtle dip in the decking on the porch). Thank you. [redacted] , President.

I am rejecting this response because: The owner in his reply to my complaint said I did not give him ample time to address my complaint, that's not true. Given my account was paid in full (receipt attached), I was no longer a priority, and he stated he had other jobs/priorities to take care of and did not get back with me for weeks until he received my complaint from the Revdex.com. In his comments he alluded to the condition of my home as a foreclosure requiring a lot of work, again not true. His salesman said and he repeated that I had pluming issues that caused the leaks in my ceiling. The salesman is not a license plumber. The stain on my ceiling was a result of my roof leaking from a recent storm when shingles blew off. The insurance company documented this (Insurance estimate attached) and compensated me to have the missing shingles and drywall replaced. He also advised there is a gap between the porch and home that he’s trying to say contributed to the slope. I paid to have the steps jacked up as the salesman stated (receipt attached). The bottom line, the gap was present before they replaced my roof, before the porch was jacked up and there was no slope present, so there should not be a slope after Quality Roofing replaced my roof. Their contract (attached) advised they would replace plywood at no additional charge. All I want is my roof fixed. They created this problem and the owner is upset with me for filing with the Revdex.com. He said he's a reputable company when his salesman offered me $35 to join Angie's List to give Quality Roofing an excellent rating. He also said because I'm making him jump through hoops, he's going to make me jump through hoops. He's requested I get estimates from other roofing companies to fix the slop and provide them to him. I'm wasting the time of other roofers which makes no sense given he's a roofing company and created this issue and should fix it. This is not the proper conduct of a reputable business or business owner. I trusted them and gave them my money for a service and now they just want me to go away. Please fix my roof and I will. As I stated in my original response the customer didn't give me any time to respond to our discussion about the issue on his front porch. I spoke to him on Monday, 5/23 (per my records and his own timeline) and he apparently contacted the Revdex.com later that day, although I didn't get notified until the 25th. I never one time stated to him the "I had other jobs/priorities to take care of". Our first conversation was on the 23rd, the same day he filed the complaint. That is obviously not enough time for me to inspect the issue myself and come up with a resolution. That being said...I am more than willing to fix the dip in the front porch roof. However, as I stated in my previous response that I can't do that until the porch is securely fastened to the front of the house. I inspected it again earlier this week and can see where the front left corner has been jacked up, but the necessary carpentry work has still not been performed. The customer has been made aware of the need for this from the very beginning when we introduced him to [redacted] with [redacted] Windows & Doors. The customer hired another company to do the jacking but still needs to have someone complete the carpentry work so we have something to attach the porch roof rafters to to eliminate the dip in the roof. The porch roof is essentially "floating" on the left hand side and is impossible to repair the dip until it is properly fastened to the front of his house. I can have my roofers there within 48 hours of him getting this repair completed.
