Review: I brought my truck into Quality Tune Up December 26, 2014, because my check engine light was on and was told that I needed a new 'distributor', which cost me $390.90. After picking my truck up, I had nothing but problems, a total nightmare, backfiring, check engine light still coming on. I brought it back 3-4 times (between December and February) and it still had the same problems. I was then told by one of Quality's technicians that they wanted another $1000 to fix the 'fuel system relay' something totaling different from what was originally told what was wrong with my truck. I told them no,I will take my truck somewhere else. I finally took my truck to another mechanic, February 4, 2015 "Country Club Tire and Muffler (complete auto service). The mechanic there told me I did not need a new 'fuel system relay' and that Quality Tune Up, put a 'defected distributor' in my truck. When Country Club replaced my 'distributor cap' my truck ran fine, no more backfiring. I went back to Quality Tune Up to speak with the owner and to return their 'defective parts' put into my truck and to get a refund of $390, and I have been given nothing but the runaround ever since and he has not returned my phone calls.Desired Settlement: I would greatly appreciate the Revdex.com help in getting my refund of $390.90 from Quality Tune Up, for 'defective parts' put in my truck.

Review: I took my vehicle into the shop, in order for them to perform a diagnostic, since the car had inexplicably shut-off and would not turn back on. From the start there were issues with the poor service and I wished that I could afford to take it to another shop, but I couldn't as it was not driveable. It was promised to be done within a day and that didn't happen. Before the diagnostic was done, one of the mechanics, [redacted] kept telling me that he knew the issue and could repair it for x amount of dollars. I wanted to see the diagnostic first and decide. Finally on April 08 I was told that the diagnostic had been done, coincidentally this was directly after I said I would take the car home after the diagnostic and then decide as to repairs.

Prior to paying for the diagnostic report, I requested it and I was told that it was in the car. He further stated that if it wasn't he would print right up a copy. I paid the $85 diagnostic report fee, upon going to my car there was no printout of the report. I went back in, told the mechanic and requested he print me up a copy as he had promised not even 5 minutes earlier. He fooled around on the computer, then said he couldn't print it until the computer reset for the day and I could return the next day for it. I asked him to write that on my receipt and he did.

Needless to say, I never received the diagnostic report, I returned on different occasions, there were always excuses and delays. I also called every few days the first few weeks trying to resolve this. I was repeatedly promised a report and it was never given, it appears that it was never done. I requested many times to speak with the owner and was told he doesn't like to handle these types of issues.... I finally was told by [redacted] on one of the numerous times I called, that I would be receiving a full refund of my payment, that also has never happened.

I still have a non-working car, with no idea what the issue truly is, I can't afford to pay for another diagnostic to be done. Please help!Desired Settlement: I want to be refunded the money I paid, as I had been promised.

Review: On March 7th my and and I came in to get his oil leaks fixed. After the car was inspected we were told by the manager [redacted] that the car was leaking from the valve cover gasket, oil pan and power steering pump. He told us the price was 996. I did the paperwork that day for their care card. He told us to come back the next day at 9am. When we arrived at 9am no one was there. We waited two hours and still no one showed up. I contacted [redacted] the next day and told him what had happened. My husband only has weekends off so we had to wait until the next week. After miscommunication with the shop we brought the car in on the 28th. We picked it up at 5. [redacted] told us he'd do our brakes for free for what had happened but we'd have to bring the car back in. Our card was charged March 7th and instead of [redacted] refunding us then charging us after the work was completed he did nothing. Shortly after the car was worked on my husband showed me it was still leaking. I called quality tune up and told them the car was still leaking. We went to take the car in to be fixed since it was under warranty but when we arrived we were told by [redacted] that we had to come back another day because they were short handed. After that we decided we didn't want them working on our car anymore and we wanted a refund. They refused saying they fixed where they thought it was leaking from. It was obvious from the beginning that the car was leaking from the crank shaft. After bringing the car in to show them it was leaking they agreed it was the crankshaft and we had to pay to get it fixed. This proves that they didn't use dye to determine where the leak was coming from. I also came in may 1st to talk to the manager but he wasn't in. [redacted] was very rude and had no clue how to reach [redacted]. He refused to help usDesired Settlement: Refund of full amount charged on card and the money we already paid to the card holder.

Response:

Company states: We took care of the leaks that he brought in. We also advised him of other leaks. We have decided to give him back $285 (labor oil pan gasket) and $152 (power steering pump).
