We sincerely apologize for the breakdown of communication that happened with this situation We understand it was not clearly communicated to you that after the second phase of your repair had started, we determined your patio needed to be replaced rather than trying to raise it, due to the large size of the voidWhen we met with our production team to discuss your residence, it was decided that we would refund the money you had already invested with us since we were unable to complete the repair promised There is no excuse for our delay in contacting you with this information in a timely manner We have been in service since and take customer service very seriously and will continue to stand behind our work as well as strive to keep our customers satisfiedAgain, we apologize for any frustration this has caused and hope that you found the settlement of the situation satisfactory Sincerely, [redacted] Office Manager

From the minute that Tony R***, owner of Quality Waterproofing showed up at my doorstep (on time...to the minute), I felt a sense of calm After over years of battling with the house flippers who sold us our home with a failing foundation and severe water issues (by concealing it and committing fraud) and dealing with countless waterproofing companies, structural engineers, crooks and attorneys, Tony was a breath of fresh air! I even sent him a message later that evening thanking him for restoring my faith in humanityLol, clearly we have been stressed and it has taken a toll He spoke honestly with me and laid out a detailed plan No sales pitch or fear tactics! He also informed me of things we could do in the meantime to help with our water issues and constantly reassured me that this was a fixable situation Best of all, he came in at under half of the cost of Everdry and was going to do more workEven getting our swampy yard addressed! When it came time for the work to get underway, the office manager Kim was able to move things around to schedule the job for the week that we needed it to happen which was a huge blessing The crew showed up on time, worked hard every day and we're extremely polite and professional All while constantly reassuring us with their knowledge and confidence in the work they were doing I didn't even mind the mess or the noise because it was such a relief to finally be at this point After over a week of hard work (our situation was a bad one and a large job), our basement is dry No longer smelly and dank...it just feels different down there A space I have avoided for much of the time we've lived here We are looking forward to "moving back in" to this space and gaining our garage and 3rd bedroom backI can't tell you how happy this makes us! My husband was informed yesterday (while they were here cleaning up and tending to finishing touches) that they will be coming back shortly to plant grass seed where they trenched the yard and added drain tiles Total bonus for us and not expected This company is top notch! From the initial meeting with Tony, to my ongoing conversations with Kim and the crew and their patience with our many nervous questions and concerns...exactly what our weary souls needed I will recommend Quality Waterproofing to everyone

Of course I wanted to keep the cost downBut at NO TIME was I informed that they would be using bagged concrete.I fully understood and do fully understand that the new concrete would not match the old concreteI do think that all the new concrete they poured should at least matchAt no time did Quality Waterproofing use any plastic to cover up anythingAll you have to do is look at everything that got splashed. See photosI myself covered my garage door with plastic or it would have been ruined also.As for their comment about my calling when the weather was nice to schedule a re-pour is falseI called every week and was told I was on their schedule for the first nice day the next weekThe next week would come and they never showed upThis went on for over two monthsI was always told they had to finish another jobWeek after week after weekAs I stated in my initial complaint "They had no intention of fixing their mess, they already had my money". Mr*** and I talked about matching the finished edges and pattern of the existing concreteHe was aware of the control joint and that I always wanted a control jointI even talked to the only man on the job that was pouring the concrete to match the finish to the existing concreteThey hardly matched anythingSee photos.As for paying them, I took them at their word they would make things right.I can supply a lot more pictures if you want

We had done business with Quality Waterproofing about years agoWe were very satisfied with the work at that timeWe are in the process of selling our home and we discovered another problem so I called Quality Waterproofing and explained the need for immediate work, Tony came to the house at 7:AM and we had the quote by AMWe accepted the quote and the work was done within daysThe workers that did the job were extremely efficient and professionalQuality Waterproofing made a very stressful situation very easyThey a class organization from top to bottom

I have been put on their "ASAP Schedule" too many times, at least 6-8. They never follow thruThey always have one excuse or another and promise to put me on their "ASAP Schedule" againI will be filing a claim for the whole job plus expenses in small claims courtThe pictures I have of their work speak for themselvesI have had to put up with this terribly ugly concrete in front of my house for way too longI was patient for months waiting on them to correct their mistakesThey made promise after promise and never followed thru. I'm not waiting any longerWe'll see what a Judge has to say

The response of Quality Waterproofing to our complaint is totally unsatisfactoryQuality Waterproofing's response does not deny that the work it performed was sub-standard Quality Waterproofing merely complains that we did not contact it after discovering the defect and we did not ask Quality Waterproofing to fix the defectQuality Waterproofing also claims that the job was not quoted in segments
When we hired Quality Waterproofing, we believed that it would perform quality work meeting ordinary standards of workmanshipQuality Waterproofing did not perform good workmanship at our home
We asked Quality Waterproofing to lower a concrete drain wellInstead, it created a small drain male inadequate for the problem and contrary to the contract and discussionsHence, that work had to be re-done by Quality Waterproofing
A small concrete slab was supposed to be replacedThe workers refused to perform that work because they were not told about itWe withheld $*** of the contract priceFinally, after delay, that work specified in the contract was performed,
Finally, after Quality Waterproofing replaced a storm water drain, we discovered that, in doing so, Quality Waterproofing had cut through an intersecting drain line, That defect in workmanship had been covered over by dirt and the replacement of brick pavers by Quality Waterproofing
Once it rained, then problems with the severed drain line occurredWe had a drain cleaning service check the line because the line was buried undergroundThe drain cleaning service advised that something had happened to the line because the drain snake no longer went to the drain box but got stopped several feet short of the drain boxWe hired another contractor to excavate the buried line, which required pulling up the brick pavers againOnce the line was exposed, we saw and learned that Quality Waterproofing had cut through the intersecting line and then buried its mistakeWe previously sent a photo of what we discovered
Our experience with Quality Waterproofing went from bad to awfulWe ask for a refund of **% of what we paidThat is fair under the circumstancesWe will not hire Quality Waterproofing againWe do not trust the quality of its workWe acted appropriately in trying to figure out the problem and solve it
The water problems that we were trying to correct were causing our finished basement to leak and floodThe difficulties we had in getting Quality Waterproofing to do its work correctly were stressful because of the damage and inconvenience occurring from the leaking basementOnce Quality Waterproofing covered over the severed pipe with dirt and pavers, we didn't even know that there was a problem with that work until it rained, Once we saw the problem, we wanted it fixed ASAP and not by Quality Waterproofing, in whom we had lost all faith and confidenceIts work was sloppy, if not reckless, It should refund our money for its slipshod workWe ask for a refund of **% of the amount paid, which is $*,***

The total for the work performed at *** *** *** *** *** *** was a total of $*** of which $*** was paid 8/07/using check number ***, upon completion of the job we were issued the remaining balance of $*** using check number on 8/14/ The customer was
then sent out in the mail their warranty and invoice marked paid in full. There was no communication with either the office staff nor *** *** of any issues with the work performed at the home after the completion of the jobHad there been Quality Waterproofing would have came out to look at the issue and come up with a solution to solve the problem that the homeowner was having It would be extremely difficult for Quality Waterproofing to solve a problem if we were never made aware of it. We are being asked to refund the amount of $1,*** stating that this is the amount that we charged for work performed on the downspout pipeNo where in our bid does it break down our services to state that is what was being charged to perform that particular work Our bid reads as the following : BASE BID 1:
To remove exterior basement steps
landing and bottom step, drop level 3’’, and re-pour pad and bottom stepAlso
to include removing down spout at top of the steps and concrete pad, installing
new down spout extension to catch basin and re-pouring pad and re-installing
patio pavers to the best of our abilityWe are concrete and waterproofing not
landscapers TOTAL : ***Since Quality Waterproofing was not given the opportunity to correct said issues nor made aware of them at any time, do we feel liable to pay any monies back to the customer Quality Waterproofing is here to service our customers to the best of our ability, however we have to be made aware of any problems at the time that they arise in order to react to them in a timely fashion .Sincerely, *** ***Quality Waterproofing***

Quality Waterproofing originally went out and did an estimate for several issues Our first estimate didn't meet the customers budget so we revised it and it was decided upon to do the following see attached estimate Customer was concerned about keeping the scope of work
affordable and we did that to the best of our ability which is why we were using the bagged goods instead of getting it poured by a concrete truckAt the time of the estimate it was explained to the customer that by only removing and replacing of the driveway pads to the existing ( approximately year old driveway ) the new pads would not match the driveway nor the sidewalk and or the front stoop Due to the age and different locations of concrete work to be performed it could not and would not be a match. We removed the sidewalk and framed it using a level and framing square and re poured it However you are correct we did not put a controlled joint in it We removed the two pads on driveway and framed it The customer and Mr*** spoke and it was decided upon then that Quality Waterproofing would have a concrete truck pour the pads at an additional cost to the customer of $*** It was also explained several times to our customer that the pads would not match the existing approximately year old driveway The driveway was completed and The customer approved the driveway repair and at that time didn't want a control joint. A couple of weeks later the facing on the porch cracked due to the application that was used was as bit on the dry side We came back out and refaced it with no issues and the customer approved Unfortunately the edging will not match due to the age and the edging tool is no longer available , which we made the customer aware of.Quality Waterproofing uses plastic to cover up various location to prevent the splashing of concrete onto areas that it isn't attended on being Quality Waterproofing is very particular about our clean up process and we instill that in our crews At no time were we made aware of any said issues, had we been then it would have been dealt with immediately.Customer called and emailed pictures of sidewalk He was not satisfied with the color or the lack of a joint It was decided upon that Quality Waterproofing would come back and remove and replace sections of sidewalk with bagged goods and adding a control joint Again it has been explained to the customer that the sidewalk color will not match where they a join the other concrete pieces due to the age and the different times they were installed.Unfortunately due the on going change of weather Quality Waterproofing has not been able to keep the said appointments However on some occasions when the weather was fine and the customer would call in our schedule would not allow for us to make the appointment The last we spoke with our customer we told him that we would be back out after the Holidays and once the weather broke It is our intention to stand behind our word and make the said issue with his sidewalk satisfactory on both parts

Quality Waterproofing performs quality workmanship and it is our goal to surpass any expectations to uphold construction standards.  On the few occasions that we fail to do so, we listen to the issue and try to understand it from their perspective, so we can get a complete picture of the situation. Then we resolve the matter to satisfy our customer.  However in this instance Quality Waterproofing was not notified of said issues therefore we were unable to  resolve your problem.  Another company was called in and fixed the issue, and in no way were we even showed what the problem was.  As stated on our proposal which was attached earlier :Quality Waterproofing is not responsible for any unknown conditions that
existed at the time this proposal was made or during the application process. In
addition, QUALITY Waterproofing is
not responsible for any damage to or penetrations by others through the
materials applied by QUALITY Waterproofing. As stated previously  had we been contacted we would have responded to your request and come to a solution to resolve your issue.  Therefore we feel that this issue has been resolved.Quality Waterproofing
