Quantum Exteriors

I’ve had a very poor experience with Quantum Exteriors, LLC. In summary their workmanship was of extremely low quality with a total disrespect to my property, causing numerous damages. I was initially approached by their door-to-door Storm Chaser salesperson. Storm Chaser companies are known for poor quality work but I was assured excellent work and given literature & links to reviews. I decided to pursue an insurance claim with them & now completely regret it. My insurance company approved the claim and generously paid for a detailed list of items. Quantum Exteriors failed to install or perform many of these items thinking they could quickly profit more as my contract gives them the full insurance proceeds. Some of these items include: not installing drip edge on all edges since they ran out of supply (this needs to be done before installing the shingles), not removing nails from the former drip edge so now the new installation has ½” to ¾” gaps from the facia (it should be flush against the facia). Very amateur work quality with metal component items which look terrible with rough bends, overlaps, sharp edges, etc. In regards to shingle installation they failed to install the correct starting point shingle layer called the “starter strip”. This special shingle is specifically designed to start the process due to its additional tar adhesive strips and design which prevents it from being lifted off the edge with high winds. All other shingles follow this so by failing to install from the start it can’t be replaced without full removal of the roof. If the “starter strip” is not installed the manufacturer voids the roof warranty. The owner of the company replied that they didn’t have the right supply of “starter strips” for my roof so the workers just made a makeshift replacement. My insurance company also paid for all gutters to be removed & then reattached after the completed roof installation. This is needed to do a proper job but this company decided they had better things to do with their time. They also failed to install new flashing that was also paid for. There are some holes, uneven areas and other defects with their poor installation and the result of lack of care and/or experience. They also caused much damage to my property. In the front of my home they cut my existing aluminum siding to make their shingle installation easier. They actually destroyed a number of sections of my siding leaving uneven gaps exposing my wood frame & insulation to rain & other elements. Wood from my house frame was left visible & exposed. It also looks terrible, unfinished & a clear demonstration that the workers didn’t know what they were doing. The workers also had extreme disrespect to my home. They carelessly threw the old shingles and debris off my two-story home damaging countless areas of my siding, door, window screens, window trim, front gutter, dryer vent, etc. They also did a very bad clean-up as debris was left throughout my yard and on top of all items stored in garage. This company uses the most unskilled crew with no foreman present. I am in the process of getting a roof certification and I’m certain more defects will be discovered. I’m also in the process of consulting litigation against this company. The (2) owners own both Quantum Exteriors, LLC & ProActive Claim Services, LLC. This has been a huge waste of my time trying to get things corrected. If you’ve been deceived by them as well I suggest referring to the IL Attorney General as they have various protections in place with such Storm Chaser companies. Also, filing additional complaints with the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation, Department of Insurance, BBB & the Illinois Secretary of State against both their individual & company licenses (roofing licenses, public adjuster licenses) are additional available actions.

There are no words I can use to fully describe what Quantum Exteriors has done for me. My home was extensively damaged in a hail storm. To my horror my insurance denied my claim. It is now nearly a year later and I have collected on the damages. Michael Sooter and Renata Silva worked tirelessly on my behalf. Got payment on my claim and then went on to complete all of the repair work.

Michael, the owner, was very helpful, and professional. They did an outstanding job replacing the Roof and siding of my rental. I highly recommend this company and will continue to use them for my other rental properties.

Siding looks perfect

Quantum Exteriors recently installed new vinyl siding on our home. We were very pleased with every aspect of this job. We felt we got a fair price. The work was started early within the promised time window, carried out continuously, and completed in less time than promised. The sales person and crew were completely professional, capable, courteous, and efficient. The result was very high quality work completely in accord with what was agreed. We would readily work with Quantum Exteriors again.

I adsolutely loved quatum builders ... I needed a new roof and decoded to replace gutters and downspouts as well .. all I had to do was pick out what I wanted and left the rest up to Mike from quatum builders .. everything was done when they said it would be and it was all cleaned up as well .. my decision to hire them was easy and I would recommend them to anyone ..

We had roofing, siding, gutters and an awning installed, and are very satisfied with the results.
After being provided with addresses with other homes contracted with Quantum Exteriors, I visited with homeowners and felt comfortable with their feedback.
Our experience beginning with Renata *** was EXCEPTIONAL. She provided us with all contacts, permits and consumer rights before construction started. She was knowledgeable and accessable to answer any questions and concerns.
The building supervisor was a phone call away throughout the construction process. All construction managers and crews were efficient and polite. Each crew stayed with the job until completed and worksites cleaned. After construction was completed we received all warranties and a job completion certificate.
Quantum Exteriors placed a sign in front of our house during the project and to me that indicates pride in the job.
