I was contacted Hannah who is employed by quantum recovery informing me that they found a life insurance policy concerning my father who is now deceased that would go to his descendants. They informed me they needed me to fill out paperwork and the company would receive 15% of the amount for their finders fee. I filled out the paper work and mailed it in. Three days later I was contacted by Kim with Quantum Recovery another agent she informed me that there was some additional assets in my father's name and they would receive 35% of the assest. Due to them finding the first assest because this was the charge for anything additional. Once again I signed the paper and mail that in. Two weeks later I was contacted by Kim who informed me that I needed to send in a check, money order or place $209 on my credit card for their finders fee. I informed her to take it out of the check and send me the remaining balance. I also informed her that when they discussed the finders fee they never inform the client that the fee would have to be paid up front . I did not agree to send them any money prior to then releasing a check to me. She stated that they could not do that I informed her that this was a scam. Who pays for something they have not received in the form of a paper check. I informed her that I never heard back from the first agent as of this date. I don't believe there was ever any additional polices this was the original and because the amount was only 599.00 they wanted 35%. I informed her that I would not be sending any money to them. I received a call on 9/28 informing me that they would report the money I owe them to collections. Are we in America. The land of the free. Why should we pay for a service we havent received. I never contacted them for assistance. This is a scam.
